Light-Powered Insects pictures -
[ Malaysia is not a country I know much about, but it turns out
tourists love it for Malaysia's most famous insects, a colony glowing of fireflies - many tourists take a
night canoe ride to see the twinkling fireflies near the mouth of the
Selangor river. But due to recent pollution in Malaysia firefly
colonies are not twinkling as much any more, and Malaysian authorities
are concerned. ]
There are two possible sides to this story:
1) Fireflies went on strike and demand their share of tourism proceeds (we ain't burnin' our asses for nothin')
2) Malaysia got so polluted fireflies are coughing dirt and their lights are covered with chemical wastes. The only chance they start glowing again is if the area becomes a bit more polluted with radioactive waste.
In this contest you are asked to help insects keep the lights on. Add light-producing technological
devices to any insects. Mini lamps, flashlights, projectors - insects
need your help to get enlightened.

Gerbil Powered pictures - For the environmentally conscious...best of all, very little pollution. / Hab-i-trails to you.. until we meet again... / the pellets on the ground really add a nice touch. kind of blurry though / I love the pelets, they definately add to the pic.
Wish you were here pictures - With a 'slight' rise in temperature Earth has become the kind of place that you might visit, but you wouldn't want to live there. I had a few ideas for this one so I strung em together.

The actual image is much larger- if anyone has any tips to get the full version size to work, try to let me know before the contest closes- thanks** / ha ha. are you serious.... you even got the blueprints.. this is great.. / interesting concept, love hot the lady of liberty stands out / holy cow. that's awesome- you even got individual workers and construction planks... very nice / isn't the contest for all of NYC. i think he got it right / Full view is same size. sure wish it were bigger, there is a LOT of work here, Well done. / The actual one is much larger, i do not know why it uploads to this size--- i tried / 50 layers. dude. you did a great work on this one.congratulations really good job. / i thought the statue of liberty wasn't man made / Including the blueprint completes the whole picture
While You Were Out pictures - / . Just imagine you return from a journey and somebody turned your ruinous hut in a luxurious mansion. Very nice entry. / Thanks for the comments. Unfortunately, the mansion was made out of paper mache - we were on a tight budget. / the hidden authors comments... Paper maché or not...I wish someone would flip my house.
