Truth, Justice, and the American Way?? pictures - Why do we say "Happy Memorial Day" when it is a day to think of and honor dead people. / I find this picture in bad taste.. Memorial Day is not about politics or why we are fighting a war, it is a celebration of the bravery and sacrifice of the men who died for America. "Happy Memorial Day" is very appropriate because I am very glad that so many men would volunteer their safety for this country. Just my 2 cents, and sorry if I offended / Hi Cmond: No offense. Sorry you think it's bad taste. We have different ideas about the observance. Just a difference of opinion.
