[ This holiday season in Florence, Italy, you can see more artists impersonating characters from paintings and statues - street artists dressed and posing as Mona Lisa, and "living statues" of monks. ]
The art of living statues requires a great deal of patience and physical stamina - people dressed as some characters don't move for hours. The only other people on earth that can do this are government employees.
In this contest you are asked to integrate parts of old oil paintings or statues into modern settings using a masterpiece of your choice. This contest was inspired by our apprentice contest Masterpieces Modernized which contains perfect examples of entries we are looking for in this contest.

Artists around the world celebrate the 556th birthday of Lenoardo Da Vinci today.
Leonardo was not only arist but also a great scientist, inventor and mathematician of his times. Some scientists say that Da Vinci was "Einstein of Renaissance".
To celebrate the 556th birthday of Leonadro Da Vinci, photoshop his works any way you wish. Some examples are: modernize his paintings by including modern objects, sceneries, or people; merge his paintings with movie posters (see example ) ; merge parts of Da Vinci's paintings with other famous paintings; commercialize his works by turning them into advertisements for modern products; turn them into billboards, etc. These are just some ideas. Here's another good example.
You are welcome to use Da Vinchi's frescos and numerous sketches (e.g. Vitruvian man) in addition to paintings.

So, there you have it - mannequins are not dummies any more - they are actually more humans than many of us. They already show us how to deliver babies. Next, they will show us how to make babies. Sure, the whole process is a simulation, but who says women don't simulate in real life? I had a mannequin girlfriend once, and she was the best girlfriend I had - never bugged me with silly questions, didn't spend hours in clothes departments, and always sat next to me while I drank beer and watched football. It's a pity we broke up - she left me for another mannequin.

This is a broad contest where you are asked to photoshop anything connected to Thanksgiving.
Stingrays Behaving Badly pictures - [ An 81 year old man boating in Florida was stabbed in the chest by a stingray which burst from the water and attacked the man. ] This comes just one month after Australian naturalist Steve Irwin died as he was stabbed in heart by a stingray. Back then stingrays seemed to have issued "sorry, we didn't know it was Steve" statement, and scientists reported this was one extremely rare accident, as stingrays are known to be naturally friendly and cute creatures. If getting your chest stabbed is considered a friendly guesture, then New York has some of the friendliest neighborhoods in the world. And what scientists are trying to tell us is: stingrays have deadly barbs, but they don't really use them. Sort of like - Paris Hilton has brains, but she doesn't really use them. Or North Korea has nukes. Still friendly, right?
In this contest you are asked to photoshop stingrays behaving badly (meaning causing harm, or threat). Feel free to humanize them - put them in human clothes, or living "human lives" doing bad things humans do.

This is what she is known for. She's Jennifer Aniston - the hot chick who gets dumped by her men. I don't see why she'd need $500,000 ring in such time of sorrow.
