Freaking News turns 4 pictures -
FN is officially turning 4 years old today!
Thursday afternoon, October 23, 2003 we launched this baby. Since then FN earned the recognition of many websites and blogs, has been shown on TV, including CNN, and appeared in several famous (People, etc.) magazines and newspapers. It's the members who make the site what it is, so on behalf of the site management we bow before you.
Happy 4th birthday Freaking News, and here's to many many more years, chops, and members!
In celebration of the 4th Freaking News birthday, photoshop how life would be like if Freaking News ruled the world - anything you like with FN theme in it.

FreakingNews Turns 3 pictures -
[ FreakingNews officially opened its doors to the public on October 23, 2003, in the heat of pre-election political events. We found that most photoshop sites stayed away from political photoshopping, while the political sites which had photo-satire were either Democrat sites or Republican sites, representing only one side of political coin. Our aim was to provide such a playground for photoshoppers with diverse political views, where they would chop in the spirit of healthy competition, interacting and appreciating each other's satire based on the current news. I'd like to think our attempts did not fail.
]
Has it been 3 years already? My, it seems like only yesterday I loaded
the code, made a silly logo and called this "a site". Then several n00bs
showed up with pre-historic versions of Adobe Photoshop. Computer
monitors only had 4 pixels back then, so the first chops were real
simple. Many sleepless nights and many beers later FreakingNews
remains the playground for goofballs and artists alike.
To celebrate our 3rd anniversary, in this contest you are asked to
show FreakingNews ruling the world in any aspect you like - media,
business, households, relationships, etc.
Nicole Richie turns 25 pictures -
[ Nicole Richie turned 25 this Thursday. ]
If you open any encyclopedia and look up a word "anorexia", you'll see Nicole Richie's picture under the listing, as well as under the listing for "two-dimensional". If you, however, scroll many pages to check the listing for "Nicole Richie", you'll only find a short notice: See "Anorexia", and "Two-Dimensional". Her dad Lionel Richie has reportedly promised to give Nicole Richie and her friends a Caribbean yacht cruise if she puts on some weight. Let me tell you this - she's not going on a cruise any time soon. So for Nicole's birthday Lionel Richie will give her free "lardass" coupons for McDonalds instead.
To mark Nicole's 25th birthday, in this contest you are asked to photoshop Nicole Richie in any way you wish to see her change in the future - sort of our freaking birthday wishes - make her slimmer, fatter, change her lifestyle, hair, age, or include her in paintings, or advertisements.
P.S. While posting the contest this morning, and digging more info on Nicole Richie, I found out that
her godfather is Michael Jackson, and only God knows who her real biological father is. And given her repeated drug abuse, anorexia should be the least one of her worries.
IBM PC turns 25 pictures - There's something sad and nostalgic about realizing that it was the
whole 25 years ago when IBM PC first launched - at least for me. It
seems that the good old days were just yesterday when I got my very
first computer and spent sleepless nights playing computer games in
front of monochrome monitor with huge floppy disks. Those boxy strange
looking machines became our friends and it's hard to imagine our life
without them any more. Ironically, IBM is not even in the PC business any longer - they sold its PC division to Chinese company Lenovo in 2004. On IBM PC's 25th anniversary let us pay tribute to computers of good old days, but let's go a bit further in time and photoshop one of the following:
1) Famous paintings to include
personal computers & laptops or computer components.
2) What the world would be like if computers existed much earlier. E.g. photoshop old photos to include computers & laptops.
Please note that
only "IBM-type" personal computers and laptops are allowed, no Apple
macs please.

Boratman Returns. / Cool idea and welldone, just head is a lil small / I agree. The lighting is a little off, but nice work. / I liked this one a lot too. The Newsy's crit is probably right, face should match the hands.
