This is a nice entry but pay close attention to your light sources. In this example, the light source is the setting sun at the end of the laneway. The long shadows cast by the person and the case are excellent but the shadows on the original house source will now move. Anything protruding from the front of the house will now cast a shadow along the face of the house (right to left) and not downwards from the eaves to the ground. With the car, anything which protrudes from the front will cast a shadow to the left and across the face. The licence plate is back-to-front but that can just be a quirky addition and I wouldn't worry about that. The person at the front of the house should be lit from the right and the surrounding ground could be lightened somewhat. Complete the masking of the laneway figure so that the edges of the left leg look as sharp as the right.

I think this is a great idea, reminds me a bit of the LOST ROOM which just showcase in the UK a while back. although I think the man going into the house looks a bit unreal, and I think editing this would make the world of difference to the picture. I am not too clued up on shadows so i won't gestimate what they should look like, but I think this a lovely entry ...

This image has a really nice feel overall. Only comment is that the scale of the man in the road looks too big for the rest of the pic.

The lighting and shados dont match but this picture's probably one of the best in this contest.

changing shadows i believe is the theme of this contest, but if you do so I think yours would win for sure
