Hollywood writers are going on
strike after negotiations between Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers failed, following eleven hours of talks through a federal mediator. Producers said writers were not willing to compromise on their demands - increase in writers' share of revenues from DVDs, movies, and merchandise based on writers' works. Under the old deal writers are getting only 3 cents from each DVD which sells for about $20. Hollywood producers called writers' demands unreasonable and writers' actions irresponsible. The strike will affect every single Hollywood studio.
Photoshop companies, people (politicians, celebrities, painting and cartoon characters, etc.), or animals going on strike, and stopping doing whatever they are doing. Your chop has to include a sign or note (in one way or another) showing that a person (or animal, etc.) is on strike (or is threatening to go on strike) and possibly showing the demands. Examples: Richard Gere holding the sign "Release my gerbil, or I quit"; Mona Lisa no longer smiling - holding a sign "On Strike. Stop Staring at My..."; Lincoln Memorial without Lincoln - showing sign "On strike until this country gets better". These are just some ideas.

Statue of Liberty on Strike pictures - "The view from the news chopper clearly shows that the Statue of Liberty has in fact gone on strike. Her whereabouts are currently unknown. Now back to Tracy for the weather." In full view you can fly the helicopter, or at least read the gauges. / So in other words, there is a big green naked lady waking New York. / Great Idea, just a couple suggestions, Full View shows a white outline around the Helicopter and pltot leftover from the original background, and the Pilots collar looks transparent. / Congrats Killer Bee You got the mojo now...hehe / Congrats, Bee - this is your first gold at FN. / Way to Go KB... Congrats on your first gold. (Guess that means you're not a virgin anymore.) / Woop. Congrats KB... I'm so happy you got your first gold. / Thanks everyone. Preemptive Strike pictures - 100% Pure Photoshop Unfortunately this piece is killed by compression due to file size restriction. If you care for the details i've got it here at 1.9mb 2272 x 2400 full resolution. The original image is 4544 x 4800 and 10.5 MB at 150dpi / Lots of work here. Good job and quite funny. But why didn't you just crop it (for this entry) so it wouldn't be killed by compression so much. For dsl'ers maybe no problem, but dial uppers will skipp it for sure Just a 'closer shot' of the dartboard would have done for me too. One nitpicky thingy: The shadows are a bit strange. They should be going more straight down and a bit shorter too, with a single light source like this, imo. / yeah, i am a dial-upper...it is pretty fuzzy...if i hadden't read comments, I wouldn't have known it was a dart board...

I would like to see it a tad more close up, but that doesn't hurt the score in any way. Just a personal preference. / I hope they have it packed with enough of the PROPER explosives.
