Photoshop Debate: Obama was wearing this T-Shirt?

I did not know about Exif data ... but it seems there might be some way around that, which would mean this image could still be faked:

Mark , I was looking for tutorials on how to remove a logo like this one, Obama has on his shirt . I came up with clone stamp & spot healing brush but it did not work that well on this piece i tried with Obama's shirt . Can you pass on some advice to me . Thx

Nike logo was clone stamped over. I used the original blank t-shirt image of Obama.

Otherwise, I'd paste a blank t-shirt over the top of it.

Too much Clarify, and it's a little over-saturated.

You photoshop heroes are way too concerned over pristine source pics. For something like this, unless you're looking to perpetrate a hoax (which I fully support if you are, by the way), just have a little fun with what ya got and move on.

As I always say, life sometimes happens under 300 dpi.

No clarify was used. Screen res averages 96dpi.

The largest image is still rather crappy and taken with a cheap camera.

Just say NO to crappy pics, cheap monitors and bad eyes

Just say yes to fun (man, don't waste your time trying to make it a Windows background. Do something cool and funny with it in the time you would have spent messing with all the levels and whatever...you got mad skills...even in 5 minutes, just for sh!ts and giggles, I'm sure you could bust out something pretty nifty. And, who knows...maybe it'll inspire you, me or someone else to do something super awesome.

Not everything we make (heck, not most things) is gonna make it to the Louvre (or go viral or whatever), and sometimes, I've noticed, the stuff you least expect is the stuff that resonates with the masses.

The only people who care about the size and quality of the picture (assuming it isn't in 4 dots/inch, or something really horrible) are the people who make the stuff. As long as it's semi-passable, the other 99.9% of the world just doesn't care.

I have little interest in making fuzzy, muddy and, blurry pics, cause that's the 99% of what is out there.

I get that for submission pieces, you wouldn't want to use crap (though, because my interests tend to lie in a time before digital photography, I have no choice, so I've become rather adept at cleaning up images when the time comes...or, every once in a while I get lucky and someone took a high quality still so that I don't have to jigsaw 5 movie stills together to make an acceptable image...I don't list source pics, except in the rarest of cases, because I have no idea why anyone cares, but I get people all the time who say, "where did you find that still shot of that scene?" Except it's not a still shot, but multiple non-stills that I threw together to make a quality image...and for that, I get last place in all these competitions...and, that's fine).

What I'm talking about is quick goofing around and playing with ideas. Throwing things back and forth...having photoshop diss fights (as long as everyone knows no one is taking it seriously, it's crazy fun)...just creative exercises where no one cares if the source images are pristine (or, if you like one of the quick ideas you drop, you can go our and search for, or clean up, source images at that time).

I know that I'm going for more of a sunday funnies thing, and I get that you're going for more of a graphic novel thing, but it don't make our styles completely incomparable for messing around. And, the more throw-away work you do, the more ideas you've got in the can, you dig?

(and yes...I see the part by the neck that needs to have the hue and lightness adjusted)

I've learned a lot of new techniques that I don't think I ever would have otherwise because sometimes I restrict myself to 5 minutes total for a chop.

Whatevs...just tryin' to encourage a little fun around here. If you ain't down, that's cool.

I looked at the site, shame there doesn't appear to be a way to reply and direct the author here. He might learn something and be less gullible.

Really, because I'd rather see a million blurry, muddied fuzzed out pictures than see one more of the stupid, over-sized head caricatures that seem to be all the rage on this site.

Those are what the homeless guy at the beach will draw for you and your girlfriend for $5.

Art doesn't start at 300 dpi. It's about creativity, passion and evoking emotion. Pure ability, while nice, is probably last on any true artist's list of the attributes that make them an artist.

There's already a thread about this, though, so whatever. My Stephen Hawking as "The Running Man" isn't blurry or muddy. There's one spot where I could have fixed it up a little, but the quality is just fine. And, at the very least, it is good for a laugh.

The best painted bowl of fruit in the world is just a painting of a bowl of fruit.

I guess I like things to be clean classy concise, keep ya shoddy blurry stuff for giggles all ya want, make them, enter them, they aren't going to do well as this site is about quality & if ya can pull quality together with a giggle ya doing well, even I get a laugh outta them.

I want art...and as art goes "beauty is in the eye of the beholder" we all view/want something different...be a pretty boring world if it was contra-wise so.

Also "stupid over-sized" heads are NOT that, they are just another art form that is popular at the moment, it will have it's time...then the next thing you don't like will come along.
