Legendary film director George Lucas is hiring writers for the Star Wars saga, which is set to continue in the form of TV series. Lucas has been hiring writers for this TV project since February 2006, and he is now getting some writers from outside of the US.
The filmmaker invited the writers to spend a week at his Skywalker Ranch in November, where they are going to finalize the story plot for the 13 episodes of the Star Wars TV show.
To celebrate the upcoming continuation of the legendary saga, put Star Wars characters (Darth Vader, Luke, Yoda, etc.) into the following works of art: paintings, drawings, sketches or statues.
Changing an original surrounding (e.g. background) of a painting (drawing, etc.) to a Star Wars theme is a plus. And last but not least... Use the force!
Stars and Clouds pictures - Once I've read that "sky is a clean sheet where God paints with
stars and clouds". In this contest you are asked to do
exactly this - create shapes, objects and messages (commercial or not) in the sky with
stars, galaxies, constellations or clouds. (Using paintings is allowed.)

Star Wars Celebrities pictures - I have to admit, like most people I am a Star Wars fan! Maybe you are too? This contest gives you the opportunity to recast any Star Wars character using an actor or actress that is not in any of the Star Wars movies or use any well-known person - celebrities, politicians, sports stars, etc. Be creative, and may the Force be with you!
Star Trek XI pictures -
The Star Trek XI movie is currently in production. The film will have a simple title "Star Trek" without any columns or numerals. It would be an unwelcome repetition, just like President Clinton II.
In this contest you are asked to photoshop anything related to the upcoming Star Trek XI film. Examples may include new posters, merchandise, and scenes for the upcoming movie.
Designing a new name for the sequel is also welcome, as well as merging it with another film.
Starbucks pictures -
This Tuesday all Starbucks shops across the country closed at precisely 5:30 p.m. for 3 hours. The reason was the scheduled retraining of the drink-making employees, known as baristas. Starbucks has seen better times - once a favorite of Wall Street, the company is now trying to increase sales to its past levels, and is closing over 100 shops with slow sales. Tuesday 3 hours employee retraining program was part of the struggle to increase sales and keep customers happy.
Photoshop anything related to Starbucks. Some examples are: showing how life would be different if Starbucks ruled the world, changing Starbucks logo, designing new products that Starbucks might sell, methods to keep the company's revenue up, etc.

[ Director George Lucas announced that he's quitting film-making and moves to TV projects. Says Lucas: “We don't want to make movies, we're getting into television. The feature film thing is too expensive and it's too risky. For that same $200 million I can make 50 to 60 two-hour movies.”

Read the above quote again. Read it twice if you have to. Now picture it being said by a film-school loser dropout. Because that's the kind of person that should be saying stuff like that, not a creator of the most beloved blockbusters of all times. Lucas wants to continue the Star Wars saga on television, and is working on a computer animated and a live action series both based in the sci-fi universe.
But something tells me that the low budget "Star Wars Action: Jedi Jedi Bang Bang" isn't going to be Lucas's greatest hit.
In this contest you are asked to create a low budget TV sequel/version of Star Wars (sitcom, series, shows, etc.), or include Star Wars characters into famous series/sitcom and change series/sitcom name accordingly.
Starsky and Hutch pictures - Photoshop Starsky and Hutch with new cast crew -actors, politicians or celebrities of your choice.
Star Trek pictures - Create images showing us where these unemployed Star Trek characters will show up now that the series has ended.
Rock Star pictures - What if this becomes an everyday thing? The world in the hands of our lovable, conservative rockers.
Photoshop a rock star or musician as a politician.
Starfish pictures - Photoshop this starfish image any way you wish. Examples may include changing its shape, merging the starfish with some other object or animal, including the starfish in paintings. These are just some ideas.
You have 3 days to submit your entry. Submitting it early will give you plenty of time to read the critique comments and edit your image accordingly.
