You better get Stanley Kubrick on the phone... / If you don't know who Dave Bowman is or what the Monolith is, I'm sure this went right over your head... / For you jokers who all voted me into last place, the least you could do next time is give some constructive criticism on what I did wrong... / --> Swami first of all I hope you donīt really think those who voted on the image are Jokers, well maybe with the exception of a few The reasons why your image is last can be many factors, but here is my take on your image. The masking is quite good but try to incorporate all the elements a bit better, for example the head on the moon, maybe you could have blended it a little more. The grey box looks a bit odd and so does the zap thats coming out of it. Anyway, maybe try posting this pic in the PS forum for further Critiques. Donīt take last place badly, it happens.. / It wasn't a gray box, it was a "monolith". Break out 2001 or 2010 and watch the movie. The shading on Dave Bowman's head was similar to that when he appeared on the TV to his dying mother. No other parts of it have yet been found, although the archive staff is vigorously searching for the other parts of this obviously torn-on-purpose page attributed to Leonardo Da Vinci. Why it was torn; no one knows for sure -- perhaps the Pope will conduct a seance and ask Mr. Da Vinci if he tore it or if it was torn by the Spanish Inquisition .... more when WE know more.
