Maalselv town in Norway seeks to become the snowman capital of the world and take its share of Arctic tourism. The project got support from the local investors for building snowman theme park similar to Disneyland, which will feature snowman figures, snow hotel and facilities for skiing, snowboarding, skating and other open air winter activities. According to the Maalselv authorities, Norway has a unique climate conditions to offer Arctic tourism, yet in not so extreme temperatures. "Besides, a snowman is much more natural symbol of winter than "commercial" Santa", they add.

Snow Mania pictures - [ Canada's Niagara region & US western New York have been hit by a heavy snow-storm this week, cutting off electricity, and setting off a state of emergency in snow covered areas. ] If I learned something when I was a kid, it's that if you get lots of snow you can make a really cool snowman. And if you get a little bit more snow, you can turn your snowman into a nicely endowed snowwoman. Then you can turn your snowwoman into a snowman with huge snow balls. If you are a boy, you can also "write" your name in the snow. On the other hand, a heavy night snowstorm is God saying: "Take today off." So, lots of snow is a win-win situation for kids and for parents alike. Thus I don't get it why New Yorkers scream "Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow...Someplace else!!!"

Chicago after Snow Storm pictures - Chicago realizes its potential after the recent storm and makes moves to suit its new market. / Fantastic idea and execution, but why am I still seeing mountains (on top of skyscrapers). They make the chop look less realistic, even if you meant for them to be there. UPDATE: thanks for removing the mountains - very realistic now. / VERY smart entry. Excellent execution, great idea, Good presentation. This is what makes a quality image. Good show / Nothing like a little skiing along the lakeshore. / Very nice - a new look for Chicago's "El".
Let it snow! pictures - / , lot of work, that is awsome. Great execution, great work on lights also reflections. Snow is an out-standing detail / Very nice, ol' Kincaid would be proud... For some reason i see drunk icefishermen / Interesting use of snow and ice. I like this one.. Good job.. Too bad there hasn't been alot of snow anywhere else but Colorado.
Yellow Snow Cone pictures - / I think if you had a mountain (not opaque) with the icecream coming off of it it would be better / Put some hot fudge on that thing and it would be Mount Fudgy-yummy. / That last jet left the mountain spinning... / We had a hellva day skiing and really whipped that mountain into shape.... / I need to be notified whenever the orbital DQ machine is overhead. / Nice Win... I dunno. what's with that blue. and the glitter looks more like some kitschy plaster ceilings i've seen. / . . . but hey, it's the best of the lot, and i spoze the blue makes it feel colder. / sweet cool baby....love the facial expession.

Snowy Gothic pictures - So cold you can even see their breath...brrrrr. Original Painting / American Gothic Indeed. Excellent attention to detail. The bare trees where the green trees are in the original is a beautiful touch. Great Chop. / Love the entry. The frost breath is a nice touch My only critique is - there's something about lady's coat which looks unnatural. / this is one of the best also one of my hightest votes, but if u compared original with the results you would see that the woman need some extra ponnds on her shoulders, she look like if she haven't arms. But anyway here are lot of nice work, so i think this deserve a top 3. The air coming out from their mouths are really a cherry on the top.
