Funny Renaissance Plastic Surgery pictures -
[ Scientists in Italy did a "plastic surgery reconstruction" of the face of the most famous Italian poet Dante, 700 years after his life. ]
In the old days people were born and lived as God created them.
Nowadays, plastic surgeons continue the "creation process", but unlike God
they don't do it for free. Pamela Anderson once complained to her
plastic surgeon: "It took you several surgeries to do my breasts and
you charged me a fortune, while God created the world in just six days and he did it for free!" The surgeon said: "Yeah, but look at
this messy world and look at this beautiful pair of breasts."
In this contest you are asked to do plastic surgery on famous works of
art - paintings, drawings and sculptures - and give characters plastic
surgeries. E.g. collagen shots, botox injections, nose jobs, face
lifts, and breast jobs. Any other modernizations of depicted
characters (modernizing clothes, and items) are allowed as long as
there's plastic surgery job done in the entry too.
We will accept works from Renaissance and any other old period.
Funny Children's Books pictures -
Today is the
International Children's Book Day. It was established in 1925 on the date of Hans Christian Andersen's birthday, April 2. Andersen is one of the most famous and loved fairy-tale writers of all times.
Celebrations of this holiday across the world include meetings with authors and illustrators, writing competitions, and reading children's books to groups of children. If you have kids in your family, today is a great occasion to read them something before bed ;)
To celebrate the International Children's Book Day, show what books could be written for children by celebrities and politicians. Think of all the (bad or good) wisdom some celebrities could "teach" kids, what "manuals" celebrities could make for children about "grown up life" or politics. You can either design your book cover from scratch or photoshop existing children's books. Example: "Little Red Riding Ho" by Paris Hilton. See another example here.
Funny Currency Illusions pictures -
Apparently the currency super-imposing craze is spreading into the US too, and not just with celebrity money illusions, but also with Currency Building Illusions.
In your entries you should include a banknote (or any country) folded so that any object (building, etc.) depicted on the banknote (except for people) is merged with any object of your choice, similar to how it's done in this example. Feel welcome to use currencies of any countries - most of them have national famous buildings and objects that can be superimposed and merged with real life objects. You can use any banknote parts, not just the central ones. Please don't forget to include the name of the object / building in the entry title.
As you remember our prequel contest - Celebrity Money - was featured by many media sources and websites (e.g. Digg). Let's make this contest popular too with many quality entries!
Funny Grenades and Bombs pictures - Integrate / camouflage grenades and bombs into something they don't belong - food, architecture, furniture, toys, electronics, everyday items, etc. Grenades and bombs must be shown "not detonated".
Funny Corporate Currency pictures -
Disney dollars are used as a local currency in the Disney parks, stores and resorts. They are redeemable for real cash (exchange ratio 1:1), or can be kept as souvenirs. Every year Disney company comes up with new designs for its currency, and such bills are collector items for notaphilists (paper money collectors).
Photoshop corporate currency from any company. How would Google dollar look like? Toyota dollar? AOL dollar, Lego dollar? You are welcome to use company products (or even logos) as the central part of your banknote, instead of the "presidents". You can design your entries as US dollars, euros, or any other currency.
Take a look at one good example.
Funny Children's Movies pictures -
French movie "The Class" has won at this year's Cannes Film Festival.
"The Class" tells a story about a life in a tough Paris school with
unruly pupils. What makes this win amazing is that there were no
professional actors in the movie - it was played by real pupils and
real teachers. A bunch of these happy pupils were at the Cannes'
ceremony sharing the glory of receiving the Cannes' Palme d'Or with the
film director Laurent Cantet.
This is the first time a French movie won the Cannes' Palme d'Or
since 1987 when French director Maurice Pialat won with his film
"Under Satan's Sun".
Take any movie and turn it into a children's movie. Change actors
into children (or even babies) or puppets, add pacifiers, rubber
duckies, toys, etc. These are just some ideas.
Funny Renaissance Airlines pictures -
The U.S. Department of Transportation has concluded that major U.S. airlines do not provide customers with timely information on delayed and canceled flights. Airlines issued a statement blaming the delays on one customer of theirs: "Time flies."
In this contest you are asked to bring the elements of modern air travel industry into the old paintings. Photoshop airplanes, airlines, stewardesses, etc. on the old masterpieces.
Funny Jean Reno pictures -
French actor Jean Reno is celebrating his 60th birthday today. Reno is of Hispanic origin, and his path to big screen fame was rocky. He kept getting small roles in unknown films for years, lost hope to "act big", and his wife left him with two kids considering him a loser. When things were as bad as they could get in Reno's acting and personal life, famous French director Luc Besson saw a natural talent in this depressed actor, and offered him the role of professional assassin in "Leon". This role made Jean Reno internationally famous, and he's brought us many wonderful performances ever since. Happy 60th birthday, Jean!
To celebrate Jean Reno's 60th birthday, photoshop him any way you wish. Some examples are - show what roles he could have played in other movies, what alternative professions he could have chosen (e.g. would he consider politics?), make him endorse products and services, include Jean in paintings. These are just some ideas.

Funny Rene Magritte Paintings pictures -
This Friday the artistic world is cerebrating the 110th birthday of Rene Magritte - Belgian surrealist artist. His surreal works are not only visually impressive, but often thought-provoking. His series of paintings titled "The Treachery of Images" shows the realistically drawn objects captioned "Ceci n'est pas..." (French for "This is not..."). His famous image of a pipe is captioned "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" ("This is not a pipe"). As Magritte himself commented: "The famous pipe. How people reproached me for it! And yet, could you stuff my pipe? No, it’s just a representation, is it not? So if I had written on my picture ‘This is a pipe,’ I’d have been lying!"
Rene started his career as a designer at a wallpaper factory, and later was a poster and advertisement designer. His first personal exhibition in Brussels in 1921 got horrible critics reviews. Real fame came to Magritte in 1960 (shortly before his death in 1967) when his paintings influenced pop art and culture.
To celebrate the 110th birthday of Rene Magritte, photoshop any of his paintings. Some examples are: show how he would have created his works in the modern days, what people or objects he would choose, etc.
(If you use any of his nude sources, please cover the models in bikini to make them safe for work).
