Colored Animal pictures -
Scientists have discovered a new species of frog which has purple fluorescent colored skin. While new species of animals are discovered now and then, they are usually in the insect realm; however a discovery of such a highly sophisticated animal as a frog is a rarity. The purple frog lives in the South American highlands of Suriname and is considered a threatened animal.
In this contest you are asked to alter or change the colors of any animals (except humans). Sophisticated paint jobs are also allowed - e.g. Mona Lisa paint job on a whale.
Fred Thompson for President? pictures -
Former senator Fred Thompson has finally announced that he is running for President of United States on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." In his first campaign speech on Thursday in Iowa, Thompson said he possesses the conservative values that will lead Republicans to Senate majority they recently lost, and will prevent Senator Hillary Clinton from winning the U.S. presidential election in 2008.
Photoshop anything connected to Fred Thompson running for president of United States, or show what happens if / after he becomes a President. Examples may include showing Thompson's election campaign, posters, billboards. A good idea may be to choose Thompson's running mate and design the election campaign poster for them.
Alfred Hitchcock's Movies? pictures - Few movie directors can be considered as influential to film industry as Alfred Hitchcock. There's something mysterious, thrilling, and nostalgic about his movies which can never be repeated in films nowadays. E.g. "Psycho" is often seen as a turning point in film history. To honor the "Master of Suspense", in this contest you are asked to change actors in his movies with celebrities and politicians of modern days or from the past. Either old movie shots or posters are allowed. P.S. When I was posting this contest, I noticed that the contest number came up ending in 13 (1113). Hitchcock's birthday is on August 13. Number 13 is connected to many superstitions and probably matches the feel we get from Hitchcock's movies.
50 Million Year old Shrimp Discovered pictures -
50-Million-Old shrimp was discovered. It was discovered by a customer eating at "Red Lobster".
In this contest you are asked to show us how 50-million old shrimp(s) look like. Feel free to show them with glasses, crutches, walkers, wheelchairs, etc. You can also humanize them and show old shrimps living a human life.

December 3 is the birthday of famous English painter Frederic Leighton. Even though I knew many of
Leighton's masterpieces, I must admit I did not know his name until
recently. That's the thing about art - we know the masterpieces but we
might not know the authors. Show "Mona Lisa" painting to a redneck and
he'll tell you he knows it, but ask him who Leonardo Da Vinci is and
he'll tell you it's the kid who played the main role in "Titanic"
movie.
In this contest you are asked to photoshop Frederic Leighton's
paintings in any way you like. Examples may be modernizing them in any
way, adding politicians/celebrities to them, or making them promote any
products & services.
Light-Powered Insects pictures -
[ Malaysia is not a country I know much about, but it turns out
tourists love it for Malaysia's most famous insects, a colony glowing of fireflies - many tourists take a
night canoe ride to see the twinkling fireflies near the mouth of the
Selangor river. But due to recent pollution in Malaysia firefly
colonies are not twinkling as much any more, and Malaysian authorities
are concerned. ]
There are two possible sides to this story:
1) Fireflies went on strike and demand their share of tourism proceeds (we ain't burnin' our asses for nothin')
2) Malaysia got so polluted fireflies are coughing dirt and their lights are covered with chemical wastes. The only chance they start glowing again is if the area becomes a bit more polluted with radioactive waste.
In this contest you are asked to help insects keep the lights on. Add light-producing technological
devices to any insects. Mini lamps, flashlights, projectors - insects
need your help to get enlightened.
Incredible Hulk pictures -
Marvel's "The Incredible Hulk" movie opened with Hulk-size box office success in the US and Canada, crushing its competition and bringing $55 million in ticket receipts in its first weekend. The movie is based on the Marvel Comics character Hulk, just like the 2003 film Hulk, but this time the Incredible Hulk features a bigger, meaner, and smarter Hulk. The plot of the second installment is also much closer to the original Marvel comics.
Photoshop Incredible Hulk any way you wish. Some examples are: turn celebrities and politicians into Hulk, place Hulk in other famous movies and paintings, show what life would be like (products, etc.) if Hulk(s) ruled the world,
photoshop Hulk posters and wallpapers, etc. While we encourage you to photoshop "Incredible Hulk" you can also photoshop Hulk from the 2003 movie as well as earlier versions.

We are asking you to use your creativity and create any new image using this picture. Part of the source image must be used in your entry. You will have 3 days to submit your entry.
