Weapons for Peace pictures -
According to the report published on Tuesday, 90 out of 100 U.S. citizens own guns, which by far exceeds the fraction of the gun owners in other countries. Surprisingly with a big gap, the second and third places on the list are occupied by India and China, with respectively 4 and 3 firearm owners per 100 people. Over 8 million new guns are produced in the world each year, and 4.5 million of them are purchased in the United States.
The report suggests that the United States population is over armed. In this contest, let's show how any weapons can be used in non-military, peaceful purposes - show alternative use of existing weapons, or re-design weapons by changing their parts or combining them with other objects or appliances
so that they could be used for domestic needs, architecture, or other peaceful purposes.

More than a half century after Korean peninsula was divided into two parts, North are South Korea finally agreed to set their differences apart and unite into one strong Korea. Such decision signed by North Korean leader Kim Jong Il and South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun was backed up by the United Nations General Assembly. This comes exactly one month after the International Day of Non-Violence, which is a new holiday. In June this year, United Nations General Assembly voted to establish October 2 as the International Day of Non-Violence. The date for this holiday was chosen on purpose - October 2 is the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, an Indian leader who spent his life fighting for civil rights, peace and non-violance.

Some examples may include - showing some parties / people / animals / or things that don't normally mix making peace with each other; photoshopping peace signs some way, peace doves, or any other symbols of peace, etc.

Peace Bonsai pictures - Source from SXC / Very nice work on the addition of the wooden hand. There is an impression of the erasure tool to the left of the green part of the tree where you have removed some of the original background. It is primarily in the area 50 pixels out from the side of the tree but is repeated again at about 230px. You might want to just sweep this area right out to the edge of the page to remove all traces. / I love bonsai trees. Just an idea...maybe a few green sprigs growing from the tip of the fingers. Wonderful job. / It is a superior work, but I would consider using some background photo source to make it look like a real photo. / The edits improved this entry a lot. Greenpeace Gummy Bears pictures - Ocean 'Gummy Bears' Fight Global Warming / the banner need to be better fit into the image / Be better if the actual green peace boat, rainbow warrier had been used, this one one doesn't look real. / funny entry, the gummy bears look relly concern / , funny..would have been better if the green peace sign was made better..nice work tho. / Yeah, I couldn't find one with the right perspective/elements. And I promise, the boat is real. Spent about an hour masking it. Not my best entry by far, and the sign. Well, I was going for the "they are hanging it look."
