There is no way we could have made it there and back with the shoddy technology we had back then. Today we could make it, but we need an incentive. What better incentive than OIL. / I vote that we: 1. Establish a hard-core, durable 'space station' at a choice Legrange Point. 2. Establish permanent Lunar base of operations. 3. You wanna look for oil - try Mars, best 'local' bet. 4. Terra-form Venus (long term process, if at all viable). 5. Stop wasting $$$$ on other junk and get with the program.
