Michael Schumacher Officially Retires pictures -
[
On Sunday, Formula One racing legend Michael Schumacher, had the final race in his career and has officially
retired. Weeks ago Schumacher announced that he will retire afer
this Formula One season, and this Sunday he waved the official
good-bye to the 12 million German spectators and many more Formula One
fans, after finishing fourth at the Brazilian Grand Prix. Schumacher
is a seven-times world champion, is the world's first billionaire
athlete, and his retirement income will be over $20 million per year,
mostly from signed advertising contracts.
]
Schumacher has been living his life in the fast lane. Now that he's
retired (at the age of 37), will he just slow down, turn to the first
gear, and slowly turn into a couch potato? Money can't buy him happiness,
but I'm sure he'll be more comfortable crying in his multi-million
dollar estate. Boredom didn't kill Bill Gates, and it has no plans of
killing Michael Schumacher either. And with all these advertising contracts, he can still make ends meet during his retirement.
In this contest you are asked to age Michael Schumacher. In addition, you can show how aged Schumacher will spend his older days - e.g. what
advertisements he will appear in, and what products he will endorse.
Lights Off pictures -
Past Saturday at 8pm (local time) millions of people across the world as well as thousands of businesses turned off their lights for an hour to promote electricity conservation. The event is called
Earth Hour and it was first held a year ago in 2007. This year, on March 29, the event was joined by massive number of companies and city goverments - the lights went out at Sydney Opera House to San Francisco's Golden Gate Bridge, and even Google homepage went dark. Next year the event is going to be even more massive, so don't be surprized if your city goes dark on March 29, 2009.
Let's see what would happen if Earth Hour went more global by turning lights off in the famous paintings and movies. In this contest, give night theme to famous paintings and movie posters. You are welcome to change the movie titles to reflect the night theme. Please don't use only brightness adjustment or filters, put more effort in your work by adding moon light, changing backgrounds, adding a lit candle, etc. A good example of an entry for this contest would be Forrest Gump movie poster showing Forrest Gump sitting on a bench holding a candle in the moonlight.
Coffee pictures -
More Americans are dependent on caffeine these days than ever before. Sleep deprivation, long work hours and job-related stress, recent mortgage and market problems, all put additional pressure on the nation making it consume coffee and caffeine in skyrocket doses.
Recent survey showed that Chicago is the most caffeinated U.S. city, followed by
Tampa, Miami, Phoenix and Atlanta. Americans did not just increase coffee consumption, they also consume more tea, chocolate, sodas, and caffeine pills.
Photoshop anything related to coffee. Some examples may include showing coffee in paintings and works of art, motivational posters using coffee, creative advertisements for coffee, showing nation's addiction to coffee, what would happen if we suddenly had to live without coffee.
Dustin Hoffman pictures -
Hollywood legend Dustin Hoffman celebrates his 70th birthday today. His first major role was in "The Graduate", and ever since, Hoffman's acting brought us many brilliant roles of eccentric characters, and received two academy awards and five golden globe awards. Even at 70, he's still acting, with talent, wit, and charisma. For many fans, Dustin Hoffman will always be one of the best actors Hollywood ever had.
To mark the 70th birthday of the great actor, photoshop Dustin Hoffman any way you like. Examples may include showing Dustin in the movies he could have acted, making sequels of the films he acted, or including Hoffman in the paintings of the past and the future.
Baseball Coffins? pictures - [In the heat of baseball season, fans now have another opportunity to
show their true colors by purchasing caskets and urns bearing logos of their favorite
baseball teams. ] You think, I'm joking, right? So I thought,
until I've seen the news. Turns out the demand for baseball-themed
coffins is huge and many fans literally want to die for their teams.
Here's what I think, folks. All of us die hard baseball fans should buy
caskets of the teams our team (Detroit Tigers) plays against. Then we
bring these caskets to a game to show what will happen to these "other
teams" - give them a sneak-preview before each game. Then, as Tigers
"bury" other teams one by one, we can all celebrate the funerals, and
leave them resting in peace until the next season. Of course when they
get out of coffins next season they will have to change their team
names - like "New York Draculas", "Boston Blood Sox", or "Philadelphia
NecroPhillies". Yeah, that's what baseball is all about - beating each
other with baseball bats and dying for a championship.
In this contest you are asked to give paint-jobs to coffins and urns
with logos of current US baseball teams. In addition to paint jobs
(but not instead of them) you may decorate (flowers, trophies) funeral
industry to make it baseball-team based.
