NASA loses moon landing tape pictures - Well, that's quite surprising isn't it? "Looking for over a year, and still can't find the tape" is quite a statement worthy of world leading Space agency fed with with billions of dollars from tax payers. And to make matters worse, it's not just a tiny roll of tape, ... NASA says "there are over 700 BOXES of transmission tape from Apollo missing". After statements like that I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow NASA boss comes up with a statement "OK, found it. It was under a couch." There's a speculation, however, that NASA people are "full of wit" and that the tape is missing because the whole Moon landing was staged and filmed hoax, and now they decided to get rid of the evidence. Well, not to worry, folks, FreakingNews is here to save the world yet again. Let us help NASA 'restore' the missing tape by showing the stills/photos of Moon landing mission in its original "uncut version" showing all the evidence that moon landing was a staged hoax. P.S. Since the time I first published this contest, NASA has published they now can't find their Shuttle Discovery either. Just kidding. But it's only a matter ot time, you know...
NASA Design pictures - Imagine that NASA engineers were responsible for design of the everyday items. Create images of products that are victims of bad design or poor engineering.
NASA pictures - Using any NASA Technology - Rocket, Space Stations, Astronauts, Devices, etc - redesign them in ways you think would be improvements, add some additional functionality or anything else you think should be changed or added.
NASA, Google team up pictures - [ NASA and Google have teamed up to make Google Earth flyovers available for the surfaces of Mars and the moon. Additional Google Earth data will include real-time weather forecasting and visualization, as well as tracking of the International Space Station and space shuttle activity. ] NASA teaming up with Google to bring the next version of Google Earth is like a street bum teaming up with Bill Gates to bring the next version of Windows. On a tight government budget, NASA became like "down to earth" bum begging for money. Google, on the other hand, is getting into astronomy, and they made their first advances. Google's money is already astronomical. NASA-Google already talk about possible space missions projects. Given the past mistakes, NASA asked Google to equip each space shuttle console with "I'm feeling lucky" button. In this contest you are asked to photoshop anything related the Google - NASA partnership. Feel free to show what changes this alliance will bring in forms of products, new logos, space missions, etc.
NASA Toaster pictures -
NASA pictures - / Cool idea and VERY well done. Clean job. My wife would never let me buy one of those / Super.. I wish designers at NASA design ships like this... / Brace your, It's going to be a VERY bumpy ride. / the source light of the subject is not the same in the space environment.
NASA images - Original: http://oz.irtc.org/ftp/pub/stills/1998-02-28/hubble.jpg by Jason Glover / very well done. I especially like how you went the extra mile and added the lens at the end of the telescope instead of taking the easier way of just adding the camera. / Great entry. I like the " *slightly out of focus."
NASA pictures -
NASA Mission Control Center pictures - / Full view is needed for this beauty. I fully enjoyed it
NASA pictures - With the olympics so close, NASA wanted to do something special. I'd Appreciate some feedback on how to make the lighting more realistic. Otherwise I think I got everything else right. / Looks pretty good. The shadows you added look nice. Add some shadows behind the billboard, and a shadow of the antenna to the man's pants to really pull off the look you are going for. Edit: the changes you made really make a world of difference. Nice work. / The shadows are a little strong, fade them down a bit with layer opacity. / A couple of nitpicks (since you ask): Flames don't cast shadows. They do distort light somewhat though, just like hot air. Also as TOO mentioned, shadows aren't completely black even with no air and black sky. I suspect reflections from the white astronaut would illuminate them somewhat in reality. Then again a camera wouldn't necessarily be able to capture that... You could also try to increase contrast on the other guy somewhat to match the astronaut. PS: These are all minor points, the image looks pretty good as it is. / . you know thats funny. You're right Flames don't cast shadows. I don't know what I was thinking when I made that. / Overall its a nice image. The shadows are a bit strong as pointed out and the flame shadow is kinda debatable, I would soften it out alot if you were to include it. Also the man looks flat. You could look at cropping the sides to make the image more whlesome, but thats just me. / If you wanna be realistic, the moon's atmosphere is too thin for fire to burn.
NASA images - Eventually NASA will do all of the training at the mall. Go Underfunded Space Program.
Google + NASA = Gaggle pictures - In a "ripoff" moment, NASA/Google tried to mimic the success of the Aflac duck with a goose. View full if you can. / Perhaps his head would look better as a profile shot and smaller so you can see the whole thing. / I like the "Gaggle" concept but had a bit of trouble reading the goose as a goose
NASA & Google space mission pictures - / Might as well shoot for the moon. (Or just shoot a moon).
NASA Space Car pictures - / Quality work. Love the motion blur for extra realism. / nice idea but the size of the planets are out of proportion / Congrats, again... tava sumido... parabens
