Mailbox Home pictures - I was surprised to see the mailbox in this contest, because I know a mail-squirrel who lives in a house that looks very much like it. / Great presentation here, wonderfully artistic and outside thebox.. Looking very very close for flaws, I find none. I only find more details you've worked on well. (GREAT job on the lighting.) / So very cute--you should have added little mailboxrobots coming out of the house--or if you prefer--your friend the squirrel. / Beautifully done and great attention to detail. Didn't even notice them at first---which is a sign that they are well done. / very nice image. but i suggest it needs to put more sharpness and contrast to mailbox compare to your background. on my own op. / just amazing . Open Mailbox pictures - shadow edited...better now. / Spot on Your use of shadow inside the box is excellent. The edit definitely does work. / Very nice job. Maybe you could add letters inside to make it even better. But this is just a suggestion.
Mailbox Face pictures - / Great thinking. Good use of shapes. Your eye for perspective works well in this image too, If it were me, I might squeeze the ear shape a bit more to give it a bit less depth, but that is just an opinion, not a flaw. / This is so very very cute--reminds me of a monkey--simple but very effective
Square Mailbox pictures - I spent about 5 or 6 hours on this and hope you like it. / Whew, thats subtle. I had to take a second look to see what you did Very nice work. (In full view, the top left edge is still showing a rough line, smooth that bugger out with either a paintbrush and the shift-line trick once you have it blown up very large) / Great job, you almost had me convinced you did nothing. / Very subtle...I had to look at it more then a few times. Nice job.
R2D2 Mailbox pictures - / I think if you turn the white areas of R2-D2 to same red as the post-box, you would get a great results with a highter votes / Thank you Skorpion for the excellent suggestion. I like it much better this way. / Very nice idea and integration. Only critique would have been to remove the white rectangle on the front from the original source image. / I thought R2 when I saw the contest pic too but it deemed a little hard or I was frustrated at the time..so bravo you. But I would have matched the colors.
Lost Letters Mailbox pictures - How mail gets lost. / Pretty cool, but whay are some envelopes transparent. / Come to think of it, it does add a sense of motion. Alternatively you could have used motion blur, but I like your way too. / I agree Newsy... solid would look better. / If you are trying to create a motion effect it would be better to leave the envelopes in a solid format but apply a tapered motion trail from them to the mail slot opening. For added depth, apply drop shadows from each envelope with varying offsets and opacities. This would make it seem like the envelopes are flying out of the box.
