The shadow doesn't really seem to help anchor the robot to anything either, but at least you tried. I think a subtle gradient background would help make this more visually appealing by providing some needed contrast and assist in preventing that floating problem. Also the text and logos are backwards on the right side and arms... an easy detail overlooked. Thanks for the tips. All are very helpful.
