Past Sunday artists around the world celebrated
the 155th birthday of Vincent Willem van Gogh. The Dutch Post-Impressionist artist who produced some of the world's most famous and most expensive art pieces spent all his lite as a poor man. After trying careers as an art dealer, teacher, and even a preacher, Van Gogh became a self-taught artist at the age of 27 and produced over 2000 works in his life time, the most famous ones in his last two years.
Ironically his art was unpopular at the time, Van Gogh hardly sold any of his works during his life, and lived as a "starving artist" relying on a modest monthly support from his brother Theo.
To celebrate the 155th birthday of Vincent van Gogh, photoshop his paintings any way you wish. Some examples are: modernize his paintings by including modern objects, sceneries, or people; merge parts of Van Gogh's paintings with other famous paintings; commercialize his works by turning them into advertisements for modern products; turn them into billboards, etc. These are just some ideas.

Van Gogh images - Poor Vincent. He left his little room to paint the night sky - and the thieves took EVERYTHING. / Fabulous idea and execution. The broken window is a cherry on top. / He got thrown out of the apartment for not paying the rent on time. I knew it. AAAHAHAHA Great idea for a faking .

Stitched Van Gogh pictures - You can't tell from this view, but I also stitched his left ear back on. / Stitchs of Insanity were visible as a youth / What can you say. I mean the guy just stitched it and then scanned it. No photoshop here. Disqualify the entry. / Very impressive. I knew it was yours, Matt, even before I saw your name. Don't know why. Love your comment. / Thanks for the kind words. If I had indeed stitched and scanned (as Newsy suggests), it would have even more sloppy.
Van Gogh Glass pictures - Name your Poison / I thought about trying something like this but couln't come up with a decent source. You did well. (in my opinion, the edges on the outside of the eyesockets and jawline a a touch too crisp to blend into the carafe.)
Van Gogh pictures - I've got the next game on the pool table. / Guess they really did prop him up beside the Jukebox when he died... / cute idea, that doorway does look like the one right out of the movie... (Leatherface is way too sharp and saturated to blend into this source. try desaturating him a bit, then brighten him till the blacks on him match the blacks on the sourceimage.)
Vampire Van Gogh pictures - / Now ya know why dental is cheaper in Mexico / Some texture would help the teeth blend in more. / Agree about the texture. Still like it though.
