Psychologists recommend that people try setting more
realistic New Year's resolutions, if they want to make them last - e.g. instead of "quit smoking" try "smoke less", or instead of "get slim" try "lose some weight".
In this contest you are asked to photoshop New Year's resolutions (realistic or not) for celebrities (or politicians) of your choice. Try to make them mimic the classic (de)motivational posters format like these examples - black background, image in the middle, followed by the New Year's resolution. Here's a good example 1 (thanks to Mundo), and example 2 (thanks to JannaR).
The image in the middle has to be photoshopped, so you can not just take an unaltered photo and add text to it.

On this day fifty years ago the universe became more populated, as the cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin made the first space flight on April 12, 1961 at the height of the Cold War. The competition to be first into space was very close, as just twenty-three days later; the American Alan Shepard became the second man to launch into space. It's also the 30th anniversary of the first space shuttle flight today. The six people currently circling the Earth in the International Space Station said on Monday they would participate in the festivities from the most perfect vantage point of all — orbit.
As mankind marks the 50 years of space exploration, let's take this celebration a step further and imagine that manned space flight could be celebrating its 100th, 1000th, or even several thousandth anniversary by showing the evidence of manned space program in vintage photos, old paintings, cave paintings or even fossils.

According to Chinese astrology, this will be a lucky year for those who, in their manners or behavior, resemble that animal. So, remember to carry a couple of carrots in your pockets for good luck. To welcome the upcoming Year of the Rabbit, photoshop rabbits any way you wish. Some examples are - merge rabbits with people and other animals, put rabbits into world events, movies and paintings, etc.

Time magazine has named the chairman of the US Federal Reserve, Ben Bernanke "Person of the Year", and called him "the most powerful nerd on the planet". The magazine said this year's selection is based on the Bernanke's monumental influence on the world's most important economy, and moderately successful steps to bring it to recovery. This honor puts Bernanke, 56, a former professor, in the company of U.S. President Barack Obama, Pope John Paul II and Russian President Vladimir Putin, among other prominent world figures Time magazine has picked in past years.
