This Friday we continue our freaking experiment with provided source images.
Photoshop this wishing well image any way you wish (image credit Michael Pereckas). Some examples are: re-dressing the boy at the wishing well, making the boy's wish come true, making the boy at the well perform some stunts, designing a poster with this wishing well image, putting the wishing well or the boy into some new environment, movies, paintings, etc. These are just some ideas.

 Wishing Well funny pictures - / I see the second voter was a LOW BALLER. BRAVO.. / Hee, hee, hee, thanks D-Man. Just stating the obvious. / Thanks geriatric. No pit of fire for you. You always treat me good. / I am all the way with you on this. If one leaves a rating below 6 a constructive critique in the notes should be mandatory . If one does not like the chop then at least tell me why and what to improve. FN should have a program which rejects low ball votes without notes. The votes should be cast for technique and idea separately . That would make the voter look a little closer and the combined score would be more fair. Anyhow, I like your chop and your idea- ergo rating of 7 or better. / Tarkus: Exactly.. I can't tell you how many times I have been in the top 3 thru several voters to have 1 high karma voter come along and knock me clear down to 15th for which I can never recover. If you are going to blast me that hard I, we, deserve an explanation as to why. I led a contest once for 23 1/2 hours and the final 2 voters in the final 15 minutes with high karma put me in 7th. I didn't even get honorable mention. I could go on for hours about this. Thanks for your input. / Used to piss me off too. But I'm under the impression now that the way the voting works those low balls shouldn't really have an impact. For me, if I am not at all moved by a piece, it will get a five. If I see any laziness like simple defringing that could have been done, it gets a 4. If the image is clearly someone else's work and you pop one little aspect of the provided piece in there I'll go with a 3, unless it's somehow quite complex and fits perfectly then it could be anything upward. If I can't decide, I'll look at things like lighting. If the light source has shadows pointing toward it, I'll score downward. If I'm very impressed I'll vote from 8 upward, followed by a "Damn, I won't be getting first place on this one." / We've all experienced this and sometimes it makes one think, "why bother." Point well taken, hidden author. / ALL Low Ballers should be SHOT. Either there are a lot of stupid voters or a lot of mean ones or BOTH... / Hahaha. Remember guys, if someone gives you 1,2,or 3 these people have no real karma to affect anything. So just ignore these votes - they almost always come from some noobs who did not figure out the voting works. There's no way anyone can keep their karma by giving such low votes. / Cowards I say just simply cowards. You know who you are. / I think the voters need more guidance . A simple scale as we have it right now dies not indicate how to judge and cast the vote. Obviously many choppers cannot read the help section. We need a scale which forces them to vote for idea/originality/ content and one which rates technique/quality and effort. The FN mega computer will then weigh the votes and find a fair average. And still, we won't stop complaining |
