American actor, film producer, and martial artist, Wesley Snipes is turning the big 5-0 this Tuesday. It's a big date for Snipes, but he has to celebrate it in prison, as he was imprisoned for 3 years for tax evasion in 2010. Snipes is being held at the Federal Correctional Institution, McKean, a medium security federal prison in Pennsylvania, and is scheduled for release on July 19, 2013.
Here are some interesting facts about Wesley:
* He has mastered numerous martial arts forms including the Brazillian street fighting form Capoeira. He is a 5th Degree Black Belt in Karate.
* Snipes is a fanatical music lover and collector. He owns more than 1,000 LPs and 4,000 CDs.
* He appeared in the Michael Jackson video for the song "Bad."
And here's a quote from Wesley: "In the beginning, all I wanted to do was to be a singer and a dancer. That was my real groove, my real interest. When it came to doing films, my biggest goal was to do a commercial."

As we all heard, the "Blade" star Wesley Snipes was sentenced by federal judge to 3 years in prison - maximum conviction time for tax evasion. The decision came as a big surprise for Snipes, who even wrote the government three $5 million checks to convince judge to give him just home detention and community service charges. None of this worked - Wesley is going to do hard time. This case marks a big victory for prosecutors who made the Spines case an example and a threat to all rich people who fail to correctly file their tax return.
