Andrew Warhola (his real name) was an American with Slovak roots and worked as advertisement illustrator for Vogue and other magazines, before becoming famous. Andy coined the phrase "15 minutes of fame", but there's a rumor that he was dyslexic and he really meant 51 minutes :)

Spartanburg Art Museum, S.C. opened an exhibit of previously unseen works of Andy Warhol. The exhibit runs until Nov. 30, and the admission is $4 except on the first Thursday of each month when it's free. If you are not far from the place, we really advise you to visit the exhibition!
Starting Sept. 20, USC Upstate will also display a collection of Warhol's works and offer a series of lectures related to the subject.
