Yes, TiredTom is correct on the shadows. Otherwise, a nice job. Brilliant concept - I just wish the walkway extended to the bottom of the pic.. so we could see how they got there.. regardless... Congrats. beautyful, but I agree TT, I would like to know if it would like better in a photo style. But still a top entry. |

Also, the lighting on her head is rather bright, indicating an outdoor image source. good point alanmania. my suggestion maybe try to edit the hair,lesser the hard light came from her back. Yeah, I worked on the hair. The image was taken indoors - same as the other one. The light source is from two different angles. When I darken the hair it just doesn't work. It was too washed out to begin with. I tried, I swear. You know how they light these cat walk models from all angles with big floods. Thanks for the tips. |

Thanks for the critique I appriciate it finnaryn Isolated Picture This is a really cool idea, but I have a few suggestions. Check your spelling in both the chop and the artist comments. You have government spelled two different ways and they are both wrong. Fade the chop portion down a bit so the blacks are not completely black. Try matching it to the other blacks on the newspaper. Adding a slight bit of noise and a very light blur will help with the texture. Also, as a general rule, a headline is only one line. If you can change it, the whole image would work even better. I think this piece has a lot of potential. There you go. It looks much more realistic now. I like how you've matched the new text to the paper, although I think capitalizing the 'p' in plans & the 'w' in walk, would look better. Also, in your entry title 'Planned' is spelled with 2 n's (Just a thought...trying to be helpful. I'll wait to vote so that you'll have time to edit if you want to.) Now it looks as though it's printed on the paper, and not a photograph. Great job. Camera, action. Try to make it look like you are on the moon. Yes, it's only us crazies though. There was a film called "Capricorn one" many moons ago, claiming the moon landings were fake. Nice picture, shame news story above doesn't tie in with the picture. Would have been better to put the headline directly above the picture. |
