And yep, like I have said all along, develop those illustrating skills. That perfect source aint always to be found... actually rarely found in my case. For this source I wanted an old man's body, torso and shoulder so clicked off safe search and typed in naked old man. Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiii carumba..... Heheheheh We'll I guess there is hope for those of us over 55 and I'd sure like some of whatever those guys are takin...... There were lots of interesting angles but not the one I needed...  Woman in Freaking News T-Shirt funny pictures - I'd like to do some digital coloring of some drawings in my sketchbook and I'm looking to the collective creative genius of the FreakingNews community for advice/help in this area. This 'very rough' coloring attempt is done using the 'paintbrush' set on 'multiply' and the 'dodge' and 'burn' tools for the highlights and shadows. If anyone has any really good tutorials that could help me I would love it if you could post the links. Cheers / Great work overall. My critique is - try to get rid of the write debris from the original drawing background - it's especially visible on some parts of the figure outlines. Similarly, where the background was colored (e.g, the hair - look at the right part), try to make it less sharp-ending, e.g. use blur or blend tool. In such type of art the sharpness should only be in the sketch drawing itself, in my opinion. It was had a pop-art piece, this would be a completely different story. / Thanks for the advice NewsMaster. I've done a bit more work to it; changed the background, and blended the hair better. Also I used the pen tool to 'ink' some of the lines, but not all of them as i still want to maintain the integrity of the underlying pencil sketch. Still open to any and all advice people may have in this department. |
