Totally cool chop. I'll give up a secret to ya on steam punk. Think rust, tarnish peeling paint, petina and brass then forget you ever knew anything about acutual engineering A good practice is grab mechanical samples whenever you see them that relate because going after sources that work in the genre has proven to be a massive vortex into which goes my time. Finding Victorian period stuff is a pain. That's probably why I don't do a lot of it but I probably will pretty soon because I am starting to develop a decent library of sources. I love what you did here, stay with it / Thanks for the tips hitspinner. My 1st try at it so I new I'd miss a few things. Thanks for the comments / I don't think you missed anything. You might have been able to add more stuff I guess but I think it's pretty cool the way it is. The black and white was a pretty slick touch. Sepia tone would have worked too but might have forced it to be more period speciffic. Heck, there are all sorts of directions you could push it. And see, that is what makes this a valuable chop, it provokes discussion. |

In the mouth of the little creature I removed a front tooth but left it in the reflection. I thoought it was real obvious but turns out not to be. The eye just assumes the continuity is there I guess. |
