Low concentrations of radioactive particles from Japan's disaster-hit nuclear power plant have been heading eastwards and are expected to reach North America in days. However, the officials of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) said these radioactive clouds are "nothing to worry about", because "the expected radiation levels will be quite low, and not dangerous for Americans". As one official added "In the past when they had nuclear weapons tests in China ... then there were similar clouds all the time without anybody caring about it at all".
So, according to the NRC officials, we have radiation heading towards us but it "should be nothing to worry about". Perhaps this radiation will even be useful? Design any new/useful radioactive products, or turn any existing products into radioactive products and show how they can still be useful.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed the "marijuana bill" downgrading possession of an ounce or less from a misdemeanor to an infraction. The change will keep marijuana-related cases from becoming court-clogging jury trials, even though the penalty will remain a fine of up to $100, with no jail time. Violations will not go on a person's record as a crime. Before turning to politics and becoming a governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger was a strong supporter of marijuana legalization; in the 1977 documentary "Pumping Iron", Schwarzenegger was shown smoking a marijuana joint.

Yesterday's Apple announcement of their new revolutionary product iPad almost broke the Internet. The storm of blog posts and tweets started with the mockery of the name of Apple's new tablet, the iPad.
Within minutes blogsphere called it "iTampon", asking "iPad, but does it have wings?" Soon, "iTampon" became a trending topic on twitter, eventually slowing twitter down and making it go over capacity several times. Virtually every big site that wrote about iPad became slow. "I think the Internet is about to go down...going so slow. Thanks, Apple," wrote Twitter user nickbell79. Twitter wrote their official explanation that the server issues were caused by the huge number of tweets about iPad, which got twitters angry. "iPad, iMad", wrote many twitters.
iPad prices will start at $499. Good luck, Apple fans!
