| Funny Iranian Missiles Photoshop pictures -
This Saturday we continue our little freaking experiment with photoshopping of provided source images.
As you know, Iranian news agency released a public photo of an Iranian Missile test showing the firing of several long range missiles that may hit targets as far as 2000 miles away. The missile test was meant to show that Iran is capable of striking back if it is attacked. Most world news agencies, newspapers and magazines published this famous photo, before realizing that it has been photoshopped.
To honor the photoshop skills of our Iranian colleagues, we are asking you to
photoshop any of these two photos any way you wish: Iranian Missiles Test ORIGINAL image (CLICK HERE to download), or Iranian Missiles Test PHOTOSHOPPED image (CLICK HERE to download).

| Funny Reuters Photoshops Beirut Photo pictures - So to sum the story up, Reuters pulled the doctored Beirut photo saying - OK, we photoshopped it. Sorry, folks, here's the original, if you think the clone tool we used is too obvious. Just wanted to show a tad more smoke and destruction there, that's all. Rather than sending to Reuters editors a copy of "Photoshop for Dummies", let us help Reuters with their photoshop skills by providing examples of how good photoshop work looks like when it comes to creating hoax news photos.
In this contest you are asked to create hoax news, or make hoax photos for real news. Your entries have to be made in the form of magazine/newspaper covers, OR website pages from famous news sites (Reuters, CNN, Yahoo News, BBC, etc.) |

On Friday, February 19th, Photoshop turns 20 years old, and we find that kind of exciting. Come to think of it, we find it VERY exciting. Could you imagine how hard it would be to run every FreakingNews contest in the absence of photo-editing software? "Cut and paste" would be done with photos and scissors, you'd need a scotch tape or a glue to attach the "pasted" parts. Even a simple head-swap would be a pain.
To pay a tribute to Adobe Photoshop on its 20th anniversary, show how photo manipulation would exist in the absence of photo-editing software - using paper photos, scissors, scotch tape, staples, threads, etc.
Here's a good example.

 Photoshop Special funny pictures - I picked this up on the news stand yesterday I cant believe that Crimmy got himself banned. What did he do... We can't learn anything without input and exchange of ideas with one another. You commented on shadows and I agreed. They were a bit wobbly so I tightened them up but wanted to make sure you knew where I was coming from with the bounced light approach. I was actually happy you brought the point up as it offered a chance to share the bounced light data with others here that might have been unfamiliar with that sort of light play. Probbably the times I get annoyed at comments, and I think I speak for a lot of us , is if the comments are opinions based on personal taste rather than technical. For example: "You should have used blue instead of green." That sort of thing. And sometimes comments can be the kiss of death when they nit pick and drag attention off the primary elements of a great chop. Few do this intentionally, but some do. It is petty and fear based. Sad really. That Plachanko fellow, (the Olympic Silver medalast Figure skater)tried to minimize the gold medalist's performance by saying he couldn't be a true champion without a tripple in his routine. Petty. I guess the judges thought he could So we hear comments clearly intended to minimize another's performance and it screams loudly of jealousy, I think. I really try not to comment unless I see a chopper that is stepping in front of a speeding bus so to speak. And the comment will be technical based, not because I would prefer to see another color and so on. Anyway, that's a few of my thoughts. Trust me, I dig when you all comment, especially if I do miss something. If I agree I'll jump right on the fix. Thanks for the votes everybody. / Thank you very much, mate .
