The 2010 Winter Olympic games in Vancouver are opening tomorrow. Everything required for an entertaining Olympics is in place. Well, except for snow. Organizers tried to construct a viable setup for the snowboarding competition at Cypress Mountain which hardly had any snow this year. Numerous helicopters were involved to bring snow from nearby locations in Canada. The mountain looked as if it were under military siege, not an Olympic site days from competition. "Welcome to paradise," said the Vancouver officials. "Sorry about the weather."
Olympic winter sports without any snow? That's freaky. To celebrate the opening of 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, take any Olympic sports and change it any way you wish. Some examples are: changing sports rules, merging two sports, changing sports equipment, tools, playgrounds, environment, etc. Creating a winter theme is a plus.

As the Olympic Games in Beijing advance, the leader-board of countries-participants shapes up. Overall medal standings show the two absolute leaders - China and USA, running a tight race against each other.
To celebrate the current Olympics Games, dress up the characters in works of art in any sports uniform. Adding a national touch to sportswear is a big plus, as well as adding medals to the "athletes", and adding Beijing Olympics logo somewhere in the painting.

Chinese authorities announced that there will be a ban on smoking in Beijing during the upcoming Olympics. The decision was met with much social unrest among Chinese population.
Smoking is so big part of Chinese culture that even half of Chinese male doctors smoke. Overall 320 million people smoke in China, making up 24.5% of the world's total smokers.
Let's imagine what would happen if upcoming Beijing Olympics were held in Chinese "cultural way" where smoking were encouraged or even required for participating athletes. Some examples are: photoshop advertisements promoting smoking during Beijing Olympics, athletes smoking during competitions, athletes puffing out smoke rings, etc. |

 Redneck Olympics funny pictures - / Good chop interesting story. Here in Georgia, we have "Red neck games" every year (in fact your source photos are actually from the redneck games in East Dublin Georgia along the Oconee river). I would have to agree with the host of the redneck olympics in maine, Its a word, and shouldn't belong to anyone in particular. What about the "special Olympics." It is not affiliated with the Olympics, and they let them keep and use that name. And Olympics are world wide, not American event, so why does this group get to have exclusive rights to the word. Interesting story, thanks for doing it.  Snail Swimming at Olympics funny pictures - / Goggles look great as do the rings and the typography. but ya the splash looks kinda fuzzy and you've got a pixel pattern showing above the splash in full view. I'd just image search for a good splash image and place over that area, playing with blend modes / feather. / Great job agree with Jest though, I think I know you are going for the misty fine water drops look but yes it looks fuzzy. follow Jest3's advice and I think you will have a real contender for top 4 with this / Thanks for the comments and advice jest3r and johnx I tried to refine the splash but I couldn't make it in time. I'm learning a lot with the contests. And having so much fun too. / Oh I hate when I run out of time for a tweak . good luck anyway I still think it's pretty damn good even without edits / Maybe you can try taking the paintbrush place a few solid white dots at the top of your splash point, then take the bristle smear brush and drag it a little bit play with a copy of it and see. I always like to take various brushes and push them to the limit. You still have time to adjust it / Water splashes are hard to do (unless your name is kratos), but you did a great overall job. I love the water glasses on the snail. |

I like the olympic rings in the head smoke.) / looking at it again, I probably would have made the background black to accentuate the smoke effects more, but still good. |
