Superb. IMO the poster is the main part of the chop and so follows the contest's rules differently from another one where the poster is just a particular of the chop and mainly hidden too.
thanks guys. i understand this chop streches the rules a little, but my main concern is making something i like and just making a picture with a minimalistic symbol is not doing it for me. if this would have fallen outside of the trophies i would have understood, but of course i am glad it ended on top.
Next time we know and can pull out the guns. I would have not thought this qualified even though excellent. Congrats on the gold. You have the touch.
Very impressive. Congrats on the gold, Jere.
Fabulous concept and execution. Congrats.
Duhhhh, I just connected the meaning of the sponge. Clever Jere hahahahaah
hehe, better late than never.thanks for the fav, mate.
Today's stock photo comes from the White House Press Service archives. It's a personal favorite photo of President Obama from 2012, and shows him pretending to be caught in the kid Spider-Man's web.
Photoshop this photo of Obama and a Spider-Man kid any way you wish.
November 19 is International Men's Day (IMD). It's only fair that men started observing their own special day (since 1999), as women have International Women's Day (IWD, March 8) since 1909. The IWD's objectives in 1909 were very clear - fighting for women's equal rights, but what were the reasons to have IMD? "Improving men's lives, focusing on health issues, and promoting gender equality", according to the IMD's organizers. That gender equality part may sound a bit confusing coming from men, but if it means that women have to do all the hard labor at home and earn more money, we can buy that :)
To celebrate International Men's Day at Freaking News, turn any female celebrities into men.
Many thanks to allanpanisa for the themepost.
Good Hollywood movies are getting ridiculously expensive. If years ago the price tag of $200 mil was a record breaker ("Titanic" 1997), today $200 mil or more is not uncommon for a decent movie. "Pirates of The Carribean" (2007) cost over $300 mil, half of which went to the movie stars (Depp, Bloom, Cruz, Knightley, and others). It's expensive to have many mega stars in one movie, but we have a solution for Hollywood which might help keep the costs down...
Take any movie and photoshop one actor/actress playing all the roles in the movie (or at least all the roles in the chop). Show movie posters or movie scenes, but please note that it has to be one of the actual actors from that movie that will be playing all the roles (e.g. you can't make Johnny Depp play all the roles in "The Silence of The Lambs", because he was not there originally).
Many thanks to IcyAllEyeCan for the contest concept.
This week hungry little fella called Pac-Man
celebrates his 32nd anniversary, and we still think of Pac-Man when we think of video games.
There's a natural Pac-Man living in every one of us.
Think about it next time you yawn, and look in the mirror.
Pac-Man was born 32 years ago, when the
future game's designer, Toru Iwatani was having dinner with his
friends at one of the Tokyo pizzerias. When he saw the pizza after a
slice had been removed, he was inspired by the shape, and came up
with the idea of so shaped hungry little fella eating things. 15
months later Namco released Pac-Man.
To celebrate the Pac-Man's 32nd anniversary photoshop Pac-Man any way you wish.
Some examples are:
1) Pac-Man character(s) appearing in famous paintings, advertisements
2) Pac-Man character(s) appearing in the things they do not
belong. E.g. Pac-Man-shaped tomato
3) Animals or people with Pac-Man like heads
4) "Pac-Man characters in real life" - take the game out of the
screen and put them in real-life photos (eating real life things,
chasing real life people and animals).
Photoshop this image of grumpy guy (click to download) any way you wish. Some examples are: re-dress this grumpy man, make him walk in unusual places, use this grumpy man image in advertisements, movies, paintings, etc. These are just some ideas.
