 Abe Lincoln funny pictures - / In full view the laptop texture is too colorful, and his left knee has a double image. Funny tho. / Very cool, color just a tad off on the laptop (but way better than I could achieve.) / The laptop does match the right leg and parts of the chair, but I can see what you both mean. UB you are way too modest. / Love the expression on his face...nice. / --> Thanks. The expression was done by tilting his head and moving his pupils a little.

 The Bird-man of Lincoln Ave (circa 1921) funny pictures - / Thanks. The original file is here http://www.shorpy.com/files/images/29264u.preview.jpg The beak, however, was a fruitless search - so I wound up painting it in. / Intriguing and original entry. I thought the beak was a Venetian carnival mask before viewing full - I'm impressed by this work. And such a wistful story, I'd love to hear more. / Bird Man of Lincoln Avenue's son found alive in Alcatraz. / Thanks, folks. Ugh. Too bad no one interviewed him about his father while he was across the bay. / Creative work. The beak looks flawless - like a real photo. Love the vintage feel too. / This is actually a very haunting image that posesses tremendous power the more I study it. It is sooooo sad and the isolation in it is almost disturbing. The sepia tone really allows this piece to form a class of it's own. I dunno what that would be but something like "Classical Chop" works for me. You could throw this in with Ansel Adams, ohh, all of the great photographers and this would hold it's own. Hahahaha very funny that, but true. Really nice work. / Gosh. Thanks, Hitspinner.  Lincoln Assassination funny pictures - / Good work matching the texture of the original. Now I'm left wondering which song killed Lincoln. / You know what else this dang entry made me do. I had to do some research on famous tuba players. The only one that consistently came up was Tuba Fats Lacen. And from my own personal knowledge of the tuba, the only other person who could have possibly killed Lincoln was someone from Ohio State, but football wasn't being played yet. I categorize this entry as an anachronism. / Is that Kevin Costner on the left. I bet he'll have a conspiracy theory. |
