The Joust funny pictures - Please view full-sized image. The yellow knight is going through the back of the frame which accounts for his lance being behind the framework ... just so there is no misunderstanding. / this is a nice source, but in my oppinion i would like to see more of one of those horse out of the bound. maybe the yellow knight crossing to the other frame since the yellow tube untill the middle of the horse, and obiouslly in that chase the sword over the frame. But is yours desition, i just mean in that way it look kind simple. Also sword's shadow are supposed to be more soft than the rest of the far shadow, aditional front frame have to have the most light shadow of all if it is in the front. Keep choping / Skorpion makes an excellent point here, the right(yellow)lance coming over top of the frame may be more effective. Nice OOB. / Thanks for the replies. I thought about changing the position of the yellow lance but the yellow knight, although being in the foreground of the picture, is actually on the far side of the jousting line (see the rope). This made it more appropriate to put him going out the back of the frame rather then over the leading edge. It just didn't look correct when I positioned the lance over the edge of the frame. It seemed to through off the depth of the overall picture, especially since the yellow lance is ahead of the horse's head. / Nice - the stick on the right is overlapped by the frame - would look good if it didn't. like the one on the left is not overlapped / This is so nice, complex too. How about putting purple horse's front hoof just over the edge of the frame. / Very cool idea--and well done overall. I think this would read better if something else broke out from the back side of the frame (in addition to the lance). The tendency is to expect the lance to be in front--but if other items also extended from behind the frame, it might work. You could even extend the gallery (crowd) along the whole wall between the frames. / Very interesting. I can see the perspective logic in having the lance coming out from behind the frame. But I would like to see more of the photos oob'd. Even so, the simplicity of it all is very compelling. Nicely done. / you have an idea here but its looks to formal to me.
