 Jimi Hendrix by Andy Warhol funny pictures - Now I'm pissed, Jimi Hendrix died 40 years ago on the 18th of Sept n no one remembered, so now I have to stick him in a Warhol theme it kinda fits though. I was lucky enough to have seen him two nights in a row at the Fillmore on Dec 31, 1969 & the following night Jan 1, 1970 when they recorded Band of Gypsies, the only live album he ever done. News-link News-link / Right-saw him in 1967 and listened to AFVN the night he died in Nam. Test-fired my '60' x 400 rounds and wrote my name in a rice paddy until the barrel glowed red-hot. Not a good night in the bush. Good luck-poignant subject. / His music brings back memories better not associated with the stink of rice paddies, kim chi and dreaded bon e bon, kind of miss the op though. Some things can never be replaced and his music is one of the things, by the way I was on leave at the time from my last tour with 1st air cav 228 onward and upward to 2nd S.O.G. / Thanks for the reply HIDDEN. Also, Jimi is remembered every year in Seattle:there is a bronze sculpture in the Capitol Hill area and a park named after him.
