| Funny Happy 60, AK-47! pictures -
Russia's most popular weapon celebrated its 60th birthday, and it couldn’t come at a better time for Russia’s weapons industry. At a ceremony in Moscow’s Armed Forces Museum, a first model of the Kalashnikov rifle, the AK-47 (the first version was produced in 1947), was unveiled and placed into the hands of its creator, Mikhail Kalashnikov.
The 87-year-old Kalashnikov said he was excited to greet what he called his "first-born," but also said he loves all versions of the Kalashnikov equally – the way a mother loves all her children. He’s not alone in loving Russian weapons. Russia is second in the world in weapons exports, with only the United States selling more.
There are over 100 million Kalashnikovs in circulation in the world.
To celebrate the 60th birthday of AK-47, photoshop it any way you wish. Some examples are - redesign AK-47, put it in the hands of celebrities and politicians, add it to paintings and advertisements, etc.

| Funny Happy 40th Birthday, Internet! pictures - This Wednesday, September 2, the Internet turns 40. On September 2nd 1969, in a lab at the University of California, Los Angeles, two computers passed test data through a 15-foot gray cable. Stanford Research Institute joined the fledging ARPANET network a month later; UC Santa Barbara and the University of Utah joined by year's end, and the internet was born.
Internet is so big part of our lives, that it gives us our daily "fix", while it can also be a strong de-motivator to do more important daily errands.
To celebrate the 40th birthday of the internet at Freaking News, photoshop how the Internet affects our lives (or lives of celebrities or politicians) in (de)motivational posters. E.g. think of how the internet changed us and what new experiences, creations and sites it brought to our lives. Try to make your posters mimic the classic motivational posters - black background, image in the middle, followed by the title word(s), and (de)motivational message below.
The image in the middle has to be photoshopped, so you can not just take unaltered photo and add text to it. NOTE: as an exception to our rules, in this contest you are allowed to recycle any of your previous entries of FN and use it for the central image in your demotivational poster.

It's National Boss Day today, which means you should probably be doing something nice for your boss (which might include not browsing the web while you're at work, but that's not our call). Let's face it - whether or not we like our jobs depends a great deal on our bosses, who can be great or great pain in the a$$. There are many big bosses and leaders around the world who can make their employees' life (or nation's life) either happy or miserable.
Here's your chance to wish happy (or not so happy) Boss Day to any famous bosses (Steve Jobs, Barack Obama, Oprah Winfrey, etc.) in the form of either motivational or demotivational posters. Your message may say why they make a great or horrible boss. Your posters should follow the format of classic "motivational / demotivational posters" - black background, image in the middle, followed by the title word(s), and the text message below.

| Funny Happy 125th, The Statue Of Liberty! pictures -
The president of France, Nicolas Sarkozy, visited the Statue of Liberty in New York harbor last week to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Statue of Liberty, which was donated by France.
Sarkozy, accompanied by New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg, stepped off a ferry and addressed a small crowd of dignitaries in a courtyard on Liberty Island, the statue rising up behind them.
"It is not simply a statue," Sarkozy said in French, according to a translator. "It is a notion, an idea, an emblem. It is for all people of the world."
To celebrate the 125th birthday of the Statue of Liberty, photoshop it any way you wish. E.g. show how it could be installed in other locations throughout the world, how it could live a life among us and what hobbies it could have. These are just some ideas.
