This Monday artists around the world celebrated
the 156th birthday of Vincent Willem van Gogh. The Dutch Post-Impressionist artist who produced some of the world's most famous and most expensive art pieces spent all his life as a poor man. After trying careers as an art dealer, teacher, and even a preacher, Van Gogh became a self-taught artist at the age of 27 and produced over 2000 works in his life time, the most famous ones in his last two years.
Ironically his art was unpopular at the time, Van Gogh hardly sold any of his works during his life, and lived as a "starving artist" relying on a modest monthly support from his brother Theo.

 The Simpsons by Van Gogh funny pictures - / Im sittin here wondering why these two totally different styles work so well together Cracks me up / Hitspinner: I don't know why, but the first image that comes to my mind watching that paint was the Simpsons family. Wonder if the colours. Someone else think the same. / Well it sure works perfectly. More often than not that first thought is the right one to go with; glad ya did. Totally cowabunga, Dude. err or Dudette... Me loves it muchly. / There are things that can be appear only in full view: 1 - I used the Smudge Tool in all the black borderlines of Barth's draw (hair, t-shirt, skate, etc). 2 - Barth was inserted with 2 layers, and on the 2nd layer I use the lighteen filter in near 80% opacity(it brought the Barth's colour near the colour of the paint). / Awesome man, simply awesome. The portraits are a hoot. / Thanks for the tip, Zorro. Dawm fine job.

Truly artistic and creative / Please use normal apostrophy sign ' The one you use ´ creates problems with the image name (I fixed it for you this time) / Pretty good : perhaps some noise, colour or pixillation on the white buildings would van Gogh them up even more.
