(by the way: My comments were made as a constructive critique that any Creative Director would give to some errant visualiser in his art department... Been There Done That.) / Hmmmmmmm, / Wiz, are you refering me as being errant. And (you're) a "Creative Director"... Been there and done what. / Love the Ears. I could care less about print style but, personally, I like fingerpainting letters with my girlfriend's fingernail polish. The, only, drawback is that it sticks to my monitor. Whatever-Very High Marks. / Hahahaha. geriatric, I didn't know you had such a sence of humor. / I don't need to be a typographer nor a lowly advertiser to know when something is pleasing to my eyes & as it seems it's all to pleasing to others also. You say "constructive critique" where is it, can u suggest a better font/layout, that is what I consider constructive, also it is the the typical de-motivator font style that's all over the web :/ / Just be happy hidden that you spelled everything right, unlike me, or s#.t would have really hit the fan.. / Ha ha ha ha all the way to the toilet. I couldn't figure out what that was in his nose until I viewed full............ SNOT BUBBLE.. / Yse u idi daegdog ew udnretsood ervrey wrod / Stunning piece. I ain't no art director but the font looks good to me That is not to say there can't be a better typography for this piece, but I like what I see. The yellow color chosen for the title text fits perfectly too. / Congrats.  Give me a three will yaa!?!?!! funny pictures - I guess I became inspired to do a piece like this ever since my last contest,where someone gave me a 3, a 3.Now I know I am not the greatest out there but a 3. So after much time spent doing this pic I hope it will resonate with some of you to try and put at least some effort into voting. I dont like speed voting. lastly I would like to say that I am not a violent man,and yes that is a pic of moi holding a hammer with a crazed look in my eye.. but seriously who is that handsome man... well at least I will put to rest what I look like. Was originally planning on putting this into the forums but I didnt want to bump any old posts. This pic out of all my pics was alot of fun and I hope you get a laugh out of it as I did makin it. There are so many talented people on this site,whether the photoshopping is good or bad, I always get a good laugh. / I am also irritated by these unfair votes . What interest . There are a lot of talents on this site and I don't understand this attitude. In past contests I've recieved some (1's).....I know I'm not the best, but a One...come on. I'm just learning this photoshop stuff and feel I've done some pretty good stuff. Holding my own...to say. But I don't understand why, not just me but anyone deserves a (1) vote no matter how good or not a picture looks. There was some sort of effort put into creating it...maybe that's just me,IDK. By the way nice image...good luck. / You obviously have great skills. I'm in the same boat ... new to the site and some of the votes for my stuff are so low it's insulting. I don't expect 10s every time, or even most of the time because I do see superior work. But the low votes ... those should be defended. Like if you vote below a four, a box comes up to say "why. please explain" so the artist can see the reason. Otherwise it feels like hit and run drivers and I didn't know I was jaywalking. / I totally understand hidden why getting these low votes would upset you. However, I would like to add, that these low votes don't affect the scores in contests at all, as 99% of the time they are done by people with zero karma.... But yes, it is a shame to see people in the same contest who have such little respect for others chops and can't vote fairly. If we do see anyone who has been around a while and should know better by now, we'll suggest to them that they should improve their voting so others don't continually see these votes on their entries....which can be upsetting / thank you hobbit,icyalleyecan,mandrake,pixjockey,and macwithfries. I guess I just wanted to make a point with the picture. I love this website,it inspires me to be more creative, and unlock my mind as to seeing what I can really achieve. I would like to say that in all honesty, I am not complaining,yea,yea,it may seem that I am, but I just wanted to make a point,and what a point,so far the responses have been tremendous.I always love getting feedback from people good or bad,at least thats how I will fix the problem next time. Really tho the image is just a parody, and should not be taken too seriously. / Well, hidden, it's already been said above but I'll say it in my own words. See, the low votes for any decent chop can NOT come from any members with decent karma. There's NO WAY a user can keep his karma by voting low on any decent chops, because his karma will get zapped by the system, and he will stay at zero karma level until he will start voting honestly. We don't do it manually, but we programmed it into the karma system - whenever it sees a low vote for a chop that averages a decent score, it punishes the lowballers. So, if you see a vote of 3 on any of your chops (and your chops are always quality chops), it's a vote coming from a person with NO Karma having NO effect on your entry ratings. This brings the second question - who usually lowballs and why. See, we have many people visiting the site, and some of them register and vote without reading the voting rules and without even realizing what amount of work goes into any entry. We can't change the brains of these people but we do have a karma system in place that neutralizes their votes. And these people won't even read your comments and it won't make them think, so why worry about them. If you show Mona Lisa masterpiece to 100 people and ask them to rate it, on a scale of 1 to 10, sure enough there will be several that will give it a 3, or even a 1. Forget about these impotent voters with no karma, and keep doing what you're doing. I am sure I speak for many members of this site if I say your chops are appreciated and loved on FN. As always you guys are the experts,and yes I do realize the importance of karma...and even tho some poeple have no karma,they vote in this way. My feeling is why. I have to say this is great discussion we are having about this. I'm using a BB gun against Howitzers. Considering this was done with a free 1.0 "doctor your photos" program I got in 1995 and is holding its own against entries with Redfied, Topaz, CS4, Correl and other super programs, I'm not displeased. I notice you have zero entries, welcome to the zoo.
