 Meerkat in a Gas Mask funny pictures - / closer attention to fur and other details would help this entry; there's still plenty time to edit. I hear my work calling ... and out the door I went. / Me not 'boss' ... just amateur chopper with maybe some extra time to (constructively) critique and perhaps enter a few contests / So. Hit me with your best corrective chop-shot, 'Boss.' / The overall idea you have here is a very good one. Each meerkat is apparently from different sources, so the shadowing veries (all should have same shadows). Back of head of middle meerkat seems to need more blending (the sand dune could be moved a little to not create a halo effect). The meerkat on the far right -- he's not as good of a source as your other two which is the fur issue I believe kana was referring to. I like what you did with the eyes a lot (with gas mask he has healthy 'blue' eyes ) and again the overall idea is innovative. Just like kana, just trying to provide constructive points that hopefully will help you. Oftentimes on FN people are hesitant to point out areas of improvement because they do not want to possibly offend the work's creator. In my case, I have sometimes found it difficult not to cringe when I do get an honest critique of my work....but I have to remember this is all a learning process, after all, and if I do the same thing wrong over and over --- well, I would rather have been told about it than to repeat it and learn from other's experience. / Doxieone: Looking at my work pains me more than the respected viewing public;no offense will ever be taken. My goal is to improve but, I am not a true artist as Rainman, Funkwood,Kratos, etc. So...rip my Heart out and I will be better for the critique. You were right on the sources-all low rez and different. Shadows. What shadows. I get it. Thanks all for taking the time. / Hidden: I will tell you the God's honest truth -- when I look at my stats here on FN and I see a comment has been made - oftentimes I do not want to look at it - I have to do a deep sign, grit my teeth... and then click. Personally I have serious (serious) problems with shadows myself.... I hate shadows and am never (ever) satisfied with with shadow work. So I am always looking at shadow work by others. (If I could do shadows like the FW 'big guns',I would be one happy gal.) / You tell 'em, Doxieone -- I simply didn't have time available to type out the spots you pinpointed for Hidden -- I just had another foal and ain't she sweeet.
