 Eyes everywhere funny pictures - My everyday ritual is to go across the street to the park and sit on the creek bank with 4 slices of bread which I cut up into little pieces and feed the ducks, water dragons, turtles in fact anything that moves, it's got to a stage where I'm hand feeding the wildlife and they're not dumb, they watch and tracked the food source and I have from time to time, ducks at the front gate looking for a feed. / What a lovely way to spend each day. Nice pic too, I always look forward to your next creation / The name of the creek is Downfall Creek which took it's name from the old gold rush days as drays used to get bogged trying to traverse the creek. I lived in Brisbane most of my life and I never seen such a concentration and variety of bird life and a turtle, eel and water dragon habitat, it's all here. Sometimes I feel I'm in a documentary, where I seen an eel grab a duckling and pull it under only for the mum to start flapping her wings furiously and moving in a circular motion to create a whirlpool that put pressure on the eel and the duckling came back up to the surface. Watching a kookaburra pecking at a termites nest in a tree to make a hollow for a nest only for brushtail possum to take over when the hollow was completed and the duck fights are hilarious but not for the victim who have a tail feather pulled out and I reflect that people pay good money to see these things. / Bob, I used to live near Downfall Creek, but I have never spent the time just sitting and looking at it obviously. I am as close now, which is a shame as I used to love my walks through the hills. Are you still there. (I used to live at McDowall) / I've been here since March and possibly will still be here for another year, Come around and I'll find a rock for you to sit on and bring your camera. / Highest score for you, yet-keep choppin'. / very very very nice and well done |
