Past Friday was the 181st birthday of Levi Strauss, who founded the first company to manufacture blue jeans. Strauss lived in San Francisco during the Gold Rush years, where miners were complaining that their cotton trousers were tearing too easy. Levi then designed blue trousers from strong sailcloth with pockets strengthened by copper rivets. This is how blue jeans were born as we know them.

 Denim American Flag funny pictures - / It may be a piece of art in its own right, personally I do not think it's what the contest called for. / Kellie: in this job I tried to show that the indigo blue (jeans) is a genuíne product from USA, as its flag.  American Gothic in Denim funny pictures - Gothic Denim / Nice chop, but it looks like he got a finger amputation. / I thought you would cut off the lower part of the picture to where the original gothic painting ended, but instead you added a finger. Now there still is the lower part of the wooden stick missing. If i were you i'd cut of the bottom inch of the pic, just below the second finger. One minute work and then it will look great. Oh, and maybe some shading underneath the head of the woman. Well, that is if you are up for it. Hope you don't mind me giving some pointers. |
