Since the original "12 Days of Christmas", many spoofs of this song were written, e.g. "Modern 12 Days of Christmas."

This date was selected so that there're exactly 12 days before Christmas, and there's no better time of year to promote violin must than the Christmas season. The most famous violin maker nowadays is Stefan-Peter Greiner who lives and works in Germany.
Apparently he makes the violins that top the creations of the Italian masters like Stradivari and Guarneri. Greiner violins are used by the best musicians in the word, and take over two years to craft. The specially selected wood for a violin is stored for 15 years before being carved into pieces. When the instrument is assembled, it is hung in the sun for over a year. The process is similar to that by Italian masters of 300 years ago. Penguin Day began many years ago when someone at NWC (Naval Weapons Center in Ridgecrest, California) became aware of the migration habits of the Antarctic penguin. On April 25th of every year, the formally-clad penguins of the Antarctic continent begin an incredible northward migration. Penguins are unique in that they are the only migratory birds that don't fly (they swim).  Same street, rainy day funny pictures - I learned a lot by doing this one. I never tried to create rain before, so this was fun. I was inspired by a previous contest to create snowy art. Maybe next time I'll do snow... hmm... Source files: car, sky (hit return at address line, to view sky image, it's protected from cross-linking) and umbrella... Oh. and rain (on the lense).
