American political satirist and television host Stephen Colbert is celebrating his 45th birthday today. Colbert is the youngest of eleven children in an Irish Catholic family. While his show, The Colbert Report, is loved by millions of American and international viewers, Colbert prefers that his children not watch the show, saying, "Kids can't understand irony or sarcasm, and I don't want them to perceive me as insincere."

Sources is what tend to eat the most time for me (more sources = more time), in both finding, masking and cleaning them up. I wasn't paying attention how long this image took, so I am guessing 1-2 hours. I generally work at blazing speeds is what I have been told. If you like this illustrative effect, I suggest you check out this thread in the forum: Crappy Sources: Image Restoration / 1-2 AZ hours.... I would only shift the color balance of his skin (and mainly the head) to more natural skin color from the purple shade / OK, I took out some of the purple hue as you suggested NewsMaster ... and made the full size version bigger. Thanks for the feedback / OMG what did you use as the source for the swollen eye. great chop. I would just darken the top and left(his right)side of his head to give a bruised look to make the color match up with the body. Or maybe up the yellow in the head and bring down the blue / Thanks for the edit. The Comedy Central belt is a cherry on top here.
