Russia's Putin disputes Canada's claim to North Pole, vows stronger military presence in Arctic Member reactions:
Is poor quality of the image in some way intended .
I'm doing a revamp on this one today and yes, it is poor in quality because I intentionally made it grungy to reflect the ostensibly dour mood Putin has cast on Christmas and Santa's North Pole this year by making the untimely announcement that he's going to amp up even more on the Russian military presence in that part of the world now. Having said this, I'm not sure how I had the audacity to even sign up here and post something here but now I'm glad I did. After reading over the guidelines here and several posts in your forum, I'm very excited about challenging myself to come up with illustrative political and cultural "statements" while also having the opportunity to learn and grow in the digital arts.
Your news link directs us to the front page of the Calgary Herald, but not to the story itself. Could I trouble you to give it a tinker.
Sure. Here's the direct link for that article. http://www.calgaryherald.com/business/Russia+Putin+responds+Canada+North+Pole+claim+with+message/9269715/story.html Here's how I typed out that link for this entry. Replaced "URL" with ... in this box just to show that link. Update: ... didn't show in this box and instead is showing "..." Russia's Putin disputes Canada's claim to North Pole, vows stronger military presence in Arctic Update: Bracket was typed in too that's between the name of the news site and the title of the story.
Not sure what went wrong with the link - seems you did it all by the books. I edited your entry and pasted the direct link in place of just http://www.calgaryherald.com and it all works now. You can click edit entry link, and see the resulting correct format. Welcome to the site.
Thanks for taking the time to do that NewsMaster. And thanks for the welcome too.
