This Thursday was the 120th birthday of Sir Charles Spencer Chaplin, Jr., better known as Charlie Chaplin. Chaplin's first roles were for Mack Sennett's Keystone Studios, when Charlie created one of the most recognizable comic characters of all times. Later Chaplin wrote in his biography: "I had no idea what makeup to put on. I did not like my get-up as the press reporter [in Making a Living]. However on the way to the wardrobe I thought I would dress in baggy pants, big shoes, a cane and a derby hat. I wanted everything to be a contradiction: the pants baggy, the coat tight, the hat small and the shoes large. I was undecided whether to look old or young, but remembering Sennett had expected me to be a much older man, I added a small moustache, which I reasoned, would add age without hiding my expression. I had no idea of the character. But the moment I was dressed, the clothes and the makeup made me feel the person he was. I began to know him, and by the time I walked on stage he was fully born."
To mark the 120th birthday of Charlie Chaplin, photoshop him any way you wish. Some examples are: showing what modern movies Chaplin could have played in, what modern products he might endorse, Chaplin in famous paintings, etc.

Sir Charles Spencer "Charlie" Chaplin, one of the most famous silent film actors would have been 122 on April 16. He used mime, slapstick and other visual comedy routines. He was such a perfectionist that he would often shoot scenes over and over, sometimes hundreds of times, till he was satisfied with the result. For this reason Chaplin took so much longer to complete his films than other actors did. On the set of "Making a Living" (1914) Chaplin's famous "look" was born. He wrote in his biography: "I had no idea what makeup to put on. I did not like my get-up as the press reporter (in Making a Living). I began to know him, and by the time I walked on stage he was fully born".
To celebrate the 122th birthday of Charlie Chaplin, photoshop any celebrities trying to impersonate Charlie Chaplin in movies or in life.
