The long awaited announcement of Obama's running mate was made on Saturday morning - it's Joe Biden, the senior senator from Delaware. Obama camp's strategy behind such choice is to add to the ticket the person with strong foreign policy and national security experience - the two areas where Barack Obama is losing to Republican nominee John McCain. Biden will also help the ticket to win his home "swing state" - Delaware.
Biden unsuccessfully ran for the office in 1988 and 2008. He is one of the longest serving US senators - serving his sixth consecutive term, and planning to be reelected for the seventh. Biden is not intending to give up his senator seat unless Obama-Biden ticket wins the 2008 presidential elections. Many analysts were surprised that Hillary Clinton was not chosen as Obama's running mate. She does bring the experience and women voters with her, but Clinton's biggest problem is that she would ruin the "change" message - the main message in Obama's campaign.

 Obama Biden funny pictures - Obama Lauds Biden / This is pretty much picture perfect, only critique is there's a tiny piece at the back of Obama's neck that needs to be re masked in to join collar. / Obama looks great but I would tilt Biden slightly left and stretch his head so that his ear is mostly behind Obamas hat to give it the correct perspective.
