For the fear of bad movie sequels, by definition only the sequel has to be bad. Most sequels just aint as good for simple reasons below. For bad sequels of bad movies the double negative is generally NOT multiplied to a positive. A sequel of a bad movie automatically makes it at least as bad but most times worse. Many sequels use content that wasn't good enough to be taken into the original and producers try to make something out of that. Take "Final destination 2" for example, the title alone is contradictional and spoiling everything. Most times Sequel plots are not changed by more than 10%. Sequelophobia is pretty much the "aging of content". AviaOphidiophobia - Fear of Snakes on a Plane Some movie sequels are better than the originals in some ways.
