It's a surreal creation and I suppose the viewer can read anything into it that he wants.... But when we get right down to it, we're all descended from apes, regardless of the color of our skin, right. / Excellent chop, great imagination and execution. Awesome chop... / Well, there is a direct link if you know the history of eugenics but you would have had to have read a whole bunch of esoteric useless drivel on the subject. Eugenics, Psychiatry, Auto writing, Surrealism and abstract expressionism were force fit. The ape relationship to the black race and their brain pan being more the size of a chimp's comes out of some pretty old-school "think" of psychiatry and eugenics. The surrealistic and abstract movements encouraged conjoining psychoanalytic theory and doctrine in art and rules were ignored. So, there you go, there is your free pass, or artistic license. Great chop, by the way. / I think the black-monkey relationship is in bad taste. I'm black skin and his work is a bit offensive. I think that that was not their intention to create discomfort.
