Burger King announced that it will make their fast food menu healthier, at least for kids under 12. The total amount of calories of the food items in the menu should not exceed 560 calories, with no more than 30 percent of the calories from fat and no more than 10 percent of the calories from added sugars. The planned kids menu items will include low fat chicken and apples cut to resemble French fries. Burger King is the second largest fast food chain after McDonald's which pledged to cut the amount of saturated fat and sugar in its menus earlier this year and to offer healthier food to its customers.
Take any fast food chain (Burger King, McDonald's, etc.) and show what new food items on their menus may attract or chase away customers. You can show both healthy fast food (carrots, etc.) or some strange items on a menu which may even be inedible (rocks, etc.) In the next 48 hours you are to assume the position of a manager in your favorite fast food chain, and decide what new menu items should be there - to benefit the customers, amaze them, or simply scare them. Make sure to brand your food entry so we know which fast food chain it belongs to.

China is shutting down 180 food factories after the inspection found that their food products contained dangerous levels of
toxic chemicals. Over 15 tons of food from these factories have been banned from entering the market. The country-wide food product inspection was initiated by the Chinese government officials after a series of scandals with Chinese exported food that was found to contain illegal chemicals like formaldehyde, unsafe color additives, and industrial wax. The country authorities said they will do everything to "clean" Chinese food and protect their food export share in international markets.

Diamond Food? pictures - [ The world's most expensive wedding cake makes its debut on Monday night in Beverly Hills. The cake is worth $20 million and is studded with diamonds. ] Diamonds are expensive. (The only time I had my hands full of diamonds is when I got a diamond flush in poker.) So it makes little sense to me to make a wedding cake with diamonds so you can eat $20 million in one go. I understand diamonds are woman's best friends, but why eat your best friends? Man's best friend is a dog, but you don't see men eating dogs (except in China), especially at weddings. Besides, if you chew and eat diamonds, a dentist will be your best friend for the next few days, followed by a proctologist who will have to catch your little friends on their way out.

In this contest you are asked to photoshop pet food that may need a recall. Show some bad ingredients, packaging, strange names and shapes of pet food items, etc.
