China Camo
10 entries - contest ended 10/11/2017

On 3 September 2015, China celebrated the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II with a fairly stunning display of its military might, parading hundreds armoured fighting vehicles and some 12,000 troops from the normally secretive People’s Liberation Army through Tiananmen Square in Beijing. Many of these vehicles had never appeared in public and a notable theme — one that to many eyes came as a big surprise — was the Army’s use of dramatic ‘digital’ camouflage patterns. The Chinese pageant featured columns of military vehicles covered in pixelated squares, some in shades of green and khaki, others in outlandish schemes of blue, white and black.

Zero Gravity
12 entries - contest ended 10/9/2017

You can probably guess that I always have some project on the back burner. This week, I was working on a physics problem related to a superhero movie, and I started working with gravitationally interacting objects in Python. It's not exactly what I wanted, but I ended up making a bunch of gravity balls. And I can't stop playing with them. If you don't know what a gravity ball is, don't worry! Because I totally made them up. A lot of the time, we use physics to describe motion in the real world. I can analyze a viral video to figure out if it's fake, or describe the motion behind your favorite toy, or predict whether a cat will survive a fall from a high-rise building. But sometimes the best way to understand physical properties is by modeling something totally beyond the realm of real life—like gravity balls.
Make images that are WITHOUT Gravity using any FAMOUS PAINTING or PHOTOGRAPH. PLEASE NOTE: LIMIT 3 ENTRIES PER PLAYER. For more on this story Visit This Link

Jared a Woman
15 entries - contest ended 10/7/2017

Jared Kushner—senior adviser and son-in-law to the President has amassed a rather extensive project portfolio. The issues under Kushner's purview include negotiating peace between Israel and Palestine, fixing the opioid crisis, updating technology across the entire federal government, and spearheading criminal justice reform, to name just a few. It seems like a nearly impossible set of challenges for anyone to tackle, and even more so for Kushner. Because in addition to not having any previous government experience, the former real estate exec has demonstrated repeated difficulty filling out simple, routine forms correctly. This includes his own voter registration form. According to the records held by the New York State Board of Elections, Jared Corey Kushner is a woman.
Create images of Jared that reflect his preferred voting gender that he marked on the form as Female. PLEASE NOTE: LIMIT 3 ENTRIES PER PLAYER. For more on this story Visit This Link

Do we use 10% of our brains? The brain is an amazing thing: weighing just over three pounds, it's packed with nearly 90 billion nerve cells that help us think, move, feel, learn, and experience the world around us. But how much of that massive mental potential is left untapped?
