LINK / 1985 Natl Geographic Cover The Afghan girl used in this entry is one of the most reproduced photos in history. It first appeared on the cover of National Geographic in June of 1985---well before the current crisis in Afghanistan. I chose it because it is a very recognizeable image of a beautiful woman---and I combined it with a very recognizeable photo of a homely dude. Please do not assign political motives. I assure you that there are none. / In my oppinion to say something as 'Afghan women get no respect' linked with Rodney Dangerfield, a name that implies being a completely unknown/bad people, goes beyond joke and enters deep inside the field of the political affirmation. Many people could feel offended. / Sorry Robo, but I can't understand your English. All I can say is that no offense was intended to anyone. If you feel that this is offensive, please FLAG the image and let the administrators decide if it needs to be removed. / The proxy war in Aghanistan has been going on for decades and the girl is the poster child of war victims. The Great Game Wiki The US funded the Mujahideen back in 1979 and they became the Taliban after the Soviet pullout. Now we fight the Taliban with Pakistan about ready to explode into chaos. When you combined and image of the poster child of war victims with a dead comedian who played a victim, it becomes a moral paradox with heavy political overtones which can assault people's thoughts by raising the specter of guilt. Some have yet too overcome those feelings and then you will become the target of blame for their inner rage...they also call it shooting the messenger. To me it is dark humor about victimization that did a good job at provoking feedback and a decent chop visually. When your image pokes at the proverbial hornets nest of supressed guilt, expect comments that you don't agree with and pat your back when there's lots of them. / I don't see anything wrong with this picture. I doubt the author meant anything bad by it. Plus it's nicely photoshopped.
Danger: Toes at Work pictures - What a talented woman. / I love this idea, but there needs to be more shadowing on the white part of the brush/cap....on the right side of the toes.
Armed and dangerous pictures - As usually, English police will not carry firearms, but an alternative was found. / "I believe agent Smith is not here today, Sir." / This might have worked, if it was a witch hunt.
Rain Dance Revolution pictures - Need rain but forgot the moves. Don't have time to teach your tribe it's cultural traditions. As a busy Tribal Chief you will LOVE Rain Dance Revolution. It's Fun, It's Educational, Umbrella Not Included. / Willing to pay a dollar for a video of Stimpy workin' DDR. / This is really cool. But where is the politician. / Isn't that a gaming machine., that would be the technology. I can't figure out who the politician is though, unless you count the Tribal Chief. This one looks Chinese though. / I went with a "consumer electronic device" created specifically for the "(or government leader)" part of the contest rather than show a specific leader using it. Intended for any Native American tribal chief. Glad y'all liked it.
Nancy Pelosi Pole Dancer pictures - Nancy likes to keep in trim so she can keep the lads on their toes. / That's NOT the kind of POLE they were talking about.
Zinedine Zidane pictures - This guy let out a little bit of steam after the headbutt heard round the world. Enjoy your retirement, dude.
Danger pictures - I tried to fix it, hope I got it. / I love this one. I love the tight close-up. If I were going to be really, REALLY nit-picky, I'd wonder why the girl and the base are one solid color, but there is a line between the croc and the base where the colors don't match. They'd have been painted at the same time, wouldn't they. / I think it's fixed because I see colors perfectly match. Nice / Nothing like a little game of hide and seek - Everglades style.
