Playing Cards pictures -
The Wichita Falls Police Department has designed the special playing cards for their inmates. The cards feature details of unsolved crime cases, some dating back to 1980s. The police hope that inmates will recognize some cases and will help solve them by providing memories and details they know. All the information will be treated confidentially, and if it leads to solving a case, the reward of $1000 per case will be given. Such inmate playing card programs have been used with success in several cities.
Photoshop existing playing cards, or design a new playing card of any kind. Some examples are: Queen Elton John, Joker Jay Leno, 7 of UP, King of Oil Exxon. Try to make your playing card customized for a person (company, etc.) depicted on it - e.g. Paris Hilton holding her chihuahua, Iranian President holding nukes, and so on. We will allow regular playing cards, Tarot cards, uno cards for the purposes on this contest, but you can photoshop and redesign them to have cards which are not in the original decks - e.g. "0 of Karma" regular playing card, or "Bankruptcy" Tarot card.

Paul McCartney pictures - Paul McCartney glanced ahead into his future in Beatles' song "When I'm 64". Let's turn things around and put aged (current or even more) Paul McCartney into past photos of young Beatles. Your entries have to include other young Beatles member(s) unaged next to aged Paul.
NASCAR pictures - Let's help NASCAR broaden its horizons further by showing what the world would be like if NASCAR were in charge.
Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni pictures -
French President Nicolas Sarkozy, 53, and Carla Bruni, 40, got married this Saturday in a hasty private ceremony in Paris. The wedding was quiet and so private that even the decoy cars were used to fool the paparazzi. This marriage is the third one for Sarkozy and comes only 11 weeks after he met the Italian ex-model.
Photoshop anything related to Sarkozy and Bruni union. Some examples are - showing what their wedding might look like and where it could take place; making a wedding theme movies and paintings with Sarkozy and Bruni; what the future may hold for this couple (e.g. their future divorce and future partners), showing some marriage contract papers or letters to each other. These are just some ideas.
Oscars 2008 pictures -
The 80th Academy Awards night is this Sunday. There was a lot of tension and uncertainty about the upcoming Oscar night because of the Hollywood writers strike. Luckily the strike ended soon enough to still arrange Oscars in full glory, so we can expect a wonderful show.
Photoshop anything related to the Academy Awards (Oscars). Some examples are - photoshopping any of the Oscar nominee movies (think of even combining any of these movies), showing where / how Oscar show could be held alternatively (because of writers strike, etc.), showing who could surprisingly receive Oscars (non-actors, politicians, etc).
Cars pictures - Make current model automobiles and trucks "more deadly" than the GM Blazer! Add weapons, guns, rocket launchers, anything you think would make your auto or truck more deadly!
Oscars pictures - Create a new, never before awarded Oscars category along with who you think the winner would be. Example for the New Oscar Category: Most Melodramatic Spiral, Winner: Yasser Arafat. Images must show the category winner holding their Academy Award statuette. And just out of curiosity you may fast forward two years and check the Oscars 2007 pictures.

Shocking news this Friday. Thousands of people from an online group are on a mission to create the global shortage of carrots by massively buying all carrot supplies in one day - May 15 2008. The group has 60,000 members and is growing every day. All the members pledge to swarm local supermarkets and buy out their supply of carrots. The group is doing this to increase the world awareness of carrots as a source of valuable nutrients and vitamins.
You are on a mission to save carrots by photoshopping them any way you like. Some examples are - show what life would be like if carrots ruled the world, demonstrate the alternative uses of carrots or use carrots in place of other objects, merge carrots with other vegetables or fruits, put carrots in famous paintings and movies, etc.

Green Cars pictures -
F1 McLaren car designer is designing a new eco-friendly car which runs on bio fuel, is constructed from light materials, weights just over 1000 lbs and will cost under $10,000. The designer hopes to licence this green car model to one of the major car manufacturers. If such green cars are taken into in mass production and sales, they can be considered for tax breaks and free city parking due to their low car emissions, eco friendly materials, light weight, and compact size.
Alter the design of existing cars to make them "green" (meaning eco friendly) by making their parts and materials from plants, including fruits and vegetables, or even integrate them with animals (except humans). Your entries should look more like cars with bio parts; and not as plants / animals with some car parts. Both exterior and interior car views are acceptable in this contest.
Space Cars pictures -
NASA is launching its new spacecraft Dawn this Wednesday. Because the spacecraft is relatively compact, light, and needs only a small amount of fuel, NASA calls it the "Prius of space". Dawn is the first spacecraft that will travel to one celestial body (asteroid Vesta), study it, and then fly to another celestial body (the dwarf planet Ceres) for further research - the whole trip will take about seven years. Latest technology advances will soon allow NASA to make spacecrafts the size of cars which also use little fuel.
Design cars suitable for space missions, or turn spacecrafts into cars. Your "vehicle" can be shown in space, on the planets, or on earth (e.g. "space cars" being used in Formula 1 races.)
Wearable Cars? pictures -

Wearable cars. I think Toyota has just answered prayers of all men whose women never know what to wear when they go out. Next time my girlfriend ask me what to wear, I'll simply suggest she wears a car, or wears nothing at all. It's a win-win situation really.
And Toyota says they see a future in wearable vehicles. I hope they mean rocket powered panties, because that's just what my girlfriend wants for Christmas. That and Tickle Me Elmo Extreme.

Indian automaker Tata said that Tata Jaguar will be different from Ford Jaguar - the company plans to make new Jaguar models that will put a fresh breath into Jaguar brand it recently bought from Ford Motor Company.
Merge any two cars in a following way: in a front view, the left half must come from one car and the right half must come from another. Here's a good example (link corrected) of merging Mercedes-Benz (left half) and Toyota (right half). Please include the car brands and models you merge in your entry titles.
Scary Movie pictures - Design a sequel (poster) to any well known movie with a "scary theme", which could beat Scary Movie 3, and top the Halloween box office receipts. Use your imagination, and pick up the well known politicians and celebrities to star in your movie.

May 12 is the International Nurses Day, - the day to honor nurses around the world and remember the contributions nurses make to society. The date May 12 was chosen since it is the birthday of Florence Nightingale who is considered the founder of modern nursing.
To celebrate International Nurses Day at Freaking News, photoshop anything related to health care - nurses, doctors, patients, hospitals, syringes, health insurance advertisements, health care de-motivational posters, movies and paintings featuring doctors and nurses, etc. Here's a good example. George Carlin Tribute pictures -
The Grammy-Award winning American comedian and actor George Carlin has died today of heart trouble. Carlin was constantly pushing the boundaries of accepted satire and language. His "Seven Words You Can Never Use on Television" is still banned from TV and radio today.
Carlin was seen as counterculture hero, especially by the older generations, who remember Carlin's golden years in the 80s. Carlin, 71, kept performing as recently as last weekend at the Orleans Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. George was a comedic genius who will be missed by millions of fans, including us at Freaking News.
To pay a tribute to a great man of satire, George Carlin, photoshop him any way you wish. Some examples are: show what Carlin will do in heaven (or hell),
what movies he could have played in, what alternative careers he could have chosen, immortalize him in paintings, etc. These are just some ideas.
